Say YES/NO to MK characters coming back

First - new characters were designed, so one of them can be new Red Dragon leader.
Second - someone evil (most likely Quan Chi) can just kill Daegon while he is still in stone for his own reasons, so Taven can avenge him. Cause unlike Daegon, Taven have a potential to grow (time control powers) and with strong villain against him the reArmageddon story can be good.

I want a redesigned Taven to be in the game for the sole reason that my son is named Taven. I agree with the poster quoted about his potential
 
Disagree. Taven could be awakened akin to Daegon being awakened. Just have some event mess with Blaze, and *BOOM*. Armageddon is still averted without MK becoming like T3 where armageddon happens no matter what.

Or since armageddon has been averted because of MK9's events. Taven is on a quest to kill his brother who tried to kill their parents.

Taven can still be relevant. Just have him I dunno... fulfill his duty to become Edenia's protector and god. He can still have to face Blaze but just under less dire situations.
 
No for Daegon. He was very unoriginal to me, and not a character to remember. He did play a role in the story worthy of mentioning his name though. Then again I doubt he'll play a part in any of the future games now that the main story is not going in the direction of Armaggedon. Then again Neterrealm always has a trick or two under their sleeves. Then again......

.....

Bottom line, No for Daegon.

DAIROU

Dairou gets a yes from me, because I believe MK needs a Chinese Assassin type character (thanks to BBBLP for pointing that out). With a decent revamp, he can be a really cool character. Also, his name sounds like "Dyro", one of my favourite Electronic Music artists :-P.
 
I was never impressed with Dairou, but I do have to admit that his design and moves were pretty damn good. He was one of the strongest characters in MK Deception but at the same time, he was kind of bland and unpopular among MK fans. While I do not see him ever coming back again, Hotaru has a far better chance of coming back, he does have a potential so YES!
 
I say NO to Dairou.



Also, as certain characters get confirmed by the time MK X comes out, can we scratch those votes off the list?

i.e. - We all know that Sub-Zero and Scorpion are coming back, so there's really no need to do a poll for them, imo.
 
I'll say yea to Dairou. He was a bad ass in Deception's Konquest. I think his look is awesome and unique as it is so a new impressive design couodn't be hard to do for him.

I only hope they really rethink his special abilities though. I like his story line wise but his moves seem very random.
 
No for Dairou, as far as MKX is concerned, mainly because he isn't very relevant in the MK 4 timeline. I liked his overall concept, being an assassin type character and would like him to return post MKX. An idea for his specials could be nerve strikes/locks where he stuns/slows or causes damage over time as opposed to burst damage.

Crap, I missed Daegon. I was gonna say no but like Jinko said, lets make him make cameo appearances. Daegon is an alright character. He started the Red Dragon. Let's save him up for the story based off of Armageddon.

For Dairou, I'd also like to keep him out of this till Mortal Kombat 11. He's from the Sedio and this game is about invading Earthrealm and Outworld.

Note: I'm not gonna be bias towards most of the characters. I'm going to be going based off of story. Every character could use a revamp. I have hope in NRS. I keep an open mind.

I'm going to say NO, but just by a hair. I thought his original concept from MKDA (he was supposed to be a bodyguard for Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, if I'm not mistaken) was a lot better than the one that ultimately made the games. Had they gone with the original concept instead of this "accomplice to Darrius" thing, I probably would've voted yes.

After reading this, my vote is gonna change to yes. This would be a nice story concept. Want to see this happen!
