rumors Report: Superman/Batman Movie Planned and a flash film for 2016

what about manu bennet? i know he's in arrow but it has zero to do with the batman universe

Nah, too old looking for my idea of Bruce. Would fit the mould though for an older one.

I love Spartacus and I love Arrow, but Manu Bennet doesn't seem like the Bruce Wayne / Batman type.

I'd prefer Karl Urban.

Honestly, as much as I enjoy his performance as Bones, he doesn't have the "Bruce Wayne face".

In terms of the Justice League movie, I really hope there are no other heroes in this upcoming film Batman v. Superman film. Save the whole Justice League ensemble cast for the Justice League movie, they need to go the Warner route and lead into it with the separate movies for each member of the Avengers. To jump into a Justice League movie right now will not make sense as they can build up way more anticipation with the separate films.

People have wanted to see Superman and Batman in a film together, give them the spotlight first, then do the others, then Justice League.

alot of fans think dc won with this announcment at sdcc. imo yea great news but i still think marvel took the show.

now if dc announced a flash and aquaman movie on top of this reveal ok than id say they won but in the end they stuck with 2 of there charachters they keep rebooting.

im no superman purist or fanboy but i loved mos but lets be real it was mixed among hardcore superman fans so i just dont get how they critisize one without the other. also it seems like dc is using batman as a crutch really

I understand what you mean.

The problem is, Marvel is always going to have that mainstream advantage over DC so it's hard for DC to compete on level ground. Spiderman, the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, I can go on and on and they're all household names. I would not rate the Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern even as a Household name even though a movie came out for the latter, which absolutely BOMBED in terms of Box Office sales.

They're not making movies about the heroes that matter to everyone right now, I don't understand how they did Green Lantern before Wonder Woman. Not to mention that god awful Catwoman movie, it's no wonder casuals associate DC with just Superman and Batman. And what helps DC out with Batman is that majority of people prefer him as their favourite superhero over everyone else, including Marvel heroes because he's just a man with money. Not to mention that Nolan's masterpiece of a Trilogy brought in way more fans and followers.

my hat is off to kevin feige because lets face it the guy knows how to plan 5 steps ahead for marvel. now if wb and dc had someone with a similar vision i think dc and marvel would pretty much tie it up at the box office.

for me its not about if i or anyone is a fanboy of one particular side but more of dc needs to get there ish together.

i never even heard of guardians of the galaxy and from the new concept art i have seen im hyped as hell and i guess i can say i am more stoked for this than avengers 2. till marvel announced the film last year and for me that raises some curioisty because im willing to go out pay $3.99 on that group to see what there about. dc fails to do that. i mean yea i know of jla based on the toon growing up but if a jla film hasnt been announced now or even 4 years ago i dont see it happening at all in the long wrong

I could easily see a JLA movie being done after the events of Batman VS Superman.
Maybe Batman VS Superman could show how Batman and Supes met.
JLA could be done as a continuation of the story, this time where Batman and Superman are on good terms and gathering the others together (Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter) like in the Avengers where Nick Fury, Hawkeye and Black Widow were gathering Earth's mightiest heroes.

i have a cast list for my vision for jla

bale for batman

cavil for superman

maggie siff for wonder woman

ben browder for flash

stephen amell or charrlie hunnam for green arrow

michael b jordan for john stewart

chris pine for aquaman

jason momoa for martian manhunter

villains

ron perlman for lobo

benedict cumberbatch for braniac

not against it but i know zero on him

Any oddball characters that aren't always mainstream in the JL you want to see in the justice league?

Rumor has it that the next big screen Batman won't be a twenty or thirty-something just starting out in his superhero career, but rather "a grizzled veteran who has been on the job, if you will, for several years."

Batman-on-Film claims that multiple sources have told them Warner Bros. is looking at actors in their 40s to play the Dark Knight Detective in Batman vs. Superman/Man of Steel 2 or whatever the team-up film ends up being titled.

BoF says "fans should start thinking about dudes who are a very good actors and are in their 40s, like… Josh Duhamel, Jude Law, Gerard Butler, Josh Brolin, Jon Hamm, Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, Jim Caviezel, etc."

Affleck is Warner Bros.' golden boy, but is pretty committed to directing now and has already reportedly passed on directing the studio's JLA movie. Also, he's said more than once how burned he felt by his involvement with Daredevil.

Caviezel currently stars on Person of Interest, which just so happens to be produced by Christopher Nolan's brother Jonathan.

Brolin has also made a few films for Warners, including this year's Gangster Squad.

Gerard Butler starred in 300 for Warners and has been on a comeback thanks to this year's sleeper hit Olympus Has Fallen.

Jon Hamm starred in The Town for Affleck and Warners, and the Mad Men star has often been named a fan favorite for different superhero roles.

Duhamel starred in the first three Transformers films, while Brad Pitt is, well, Brad Pitt. 'Nuff said.

Jude Law is an interesting prospect because he already co-starred in Warners' Sherlock Holmes franchise, and he was a frontrunner to play Superman in the Batman vs. Superman film that Wolfgang Petersen almost directed a decade ago. Colin Farrell was the top choice to play Batman then. Law is also a big comic book fan who reportedly sports a tattoo of Rorschach from Watchmen.

Emily Browning, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, or Ashley Tisdale as Black Canary

Jennifer Lawrence already plays Mystique and Anna Paquin already plays Rogue. IMO, they should keep the actors set as whatever character they constantly play. People are just going to keep thinking of the main character they play instead of the new one. Ryan Reynolds is two characters, that drives me nuts, lol.

Michael Fassbender would have been a pretty awesome Batman, but, I will just keep picturing him as Magneto in the batsuit.

They should get someone who isn't a huge A-list star, someone who needs a breakthrough role like that of Batman/Bruce Wayne. The actors people have been listing....ehhh, no. Those are all horrible choices, except possibly Jon Hamm, but, I just can't picture him as Batman. Bruce Wayne, sure, he has the Bruce look, but, not Batman.....and that geek from Teen Wolf, wow, how about a big NO.

Ryan Gosling is a well known star, but, he isn't on the level of guys like Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. I wouldn't mind seeing him as Batman, but, he's just too young looking at this point. People know who he is, but, being Batman would make his popularity skyrocket.

It's hard to choose....I would honestly rather see someone take the role that is unknown and just breaking through. It is hard to see anyone else as Batman after Christian, but, it's happened before. I couldn't picture anyone but Michael Keaton back in the day. Kilmer sucked, Clooney sucked harder, and then Christian came along and restored my faith <3

Word on the block is that Orlando Bloom, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and my personal favourite, Scott Adkins are on the shortlist to play Batman. If Adkins gets the role, they'd get someone who looks like Bruce Wayne and has the skills to pull him off accurately, with the martial arts background and ability to do his own stunts.

However... If Orlando Bloom gets it, I'll wait til I can download a DVD Rip. WB will not be taking any money from me for that. How people can possibly think HE can play Bruce Wayne/Batman is beyond me, he's the wimpiest looking pretty boy known to the film world.

Meh, not really care for this. Not a Superman fan already, and I think they are rebooting Batman way too soon. DC has a gazilion charachters, let's not make a movie about Batman or Superman (or both) again...

batman isnt a reboot in this at all. they want a 40 year old batman so that means they wont redo the orgin wich is a huge plus in my book

i mean really how many times do we have to see that?

Also, Halle Berry played as Storm (Marvel) and Catwoman (DC).
