I wouldn't mind this. The variations for the best and classic Dante would be hard to make, but with emo reboot Donte it could be:
Variation 1: Osiris and Aquila. (Defense)
Variation 2: more attacks with Ebony & Ivory, Revenant, The Kablooey and Angel Evade. (Ranged)
Variation 3: Arbiter and Eryx. (Offense)
Normal Attacks would be with Rebellion and Ebony & Ivory.

Sucks for you, I guess. It was the first DMC game I liked since the very first one. Tried playing the second game and found it more useful as a coaster on my table. Could never stomach another game after that.

Why would try to play the second game everyone agrees that sucks Tell me someone didn't recommend it to you.
 
So potential new characters from the comics are Jacqui who is Jax's daughter, and Erran Black the cowboydude who fled to Outworlds.

Not sure how I feel about Jacqui. As many others mentioned, her name... It sounds like it's shortened of Jacqueline, most likely pronounced "Jacky". But is she just going to be a female Jax? I hope not.

And for Erran Black... cool to see a gunner in the game, but... I don't like cowboys.

I played it because it was the sequel to a game I really liked. lol That's usually how people do things. Also, I always come up with my own opinion on something. I never listen to other people. lol

I tried DMC3. Only because it was bought for me as a Christmas present many moons ago. lol I wasn't feeling it, though. And maybe a week after opening it, my little sister destroyed it. Probably for the best.

I'm gonna go ahead and call it now,
I believe that Jacqui will be one of the 2 character reveals.
Just seems like too much of a potential for a new key useless character to put up as important for half of one game, then just keep her as that character who is just..there.. for the next 5 games.

Am I the only one thinking it has something to do with the fact that she's related to Jax so OMG she's called "Jacqui", get it? Jax, Jacqui! And they're both uninteresting characters! Yay. Here I thought the MK team couldn't get more original.

Nah, seriously, they have the whole Outworld, Netherrealm plus the underdeveloped MK4 characters and their best try is at a generic kickboxing-fighter character. I really hope she's a comic exclusive. Even Jax himself would be less outrageous (not taking into consideration the fact he's supposed to be dead, I mean). But, then again, in all honesty not even Cassie Cage does impress me. I just tolerate her because oh, OK, Johnny and Sonya survived and had a child - one uninteresting child is enough. I understand they need a newer generation of human characters, but... I don't know, maybe I'm getting old and things just don't impress me so easily anymore.

Generic ...you seem to know more about the character that probably isn't even going to be in the game...but since you've already stated a pretty strong opinion about her you must have seen some gameplay or read the rest of the comics because you obviously know something the rest of us don't ...that's the case or you're really bitter about them getting rid of SOME of the crappy /God AWEFUL post MK3 characters. RIP Hsu Hao

There's also the possibility of Takeda making it to the game, who is in his 20s, according to the digital series casting call. ;)

Of course she can get really interesting in an issue or two, right? Jax's daughter, surely she has an interesting story. Jax was such a huge, necessary character with a story full of possibilities.

Don't take me seriously, please. I don't have to be bitter about videogame characters (what a sad life) and I am sure that I don't need to see more of her to notice she's just a generic character. I hope that you're right - that she's not in the game. Cassie Cage is enough, IMO.
PS.: I actually enjoyed Jax back in the MKII/MK3 days.
