exactly. i would rather see an underused character get some spotlight rather than them getting put on the backburner yet again in favor of an offspring.

I totally agree!

And seriously, if there is one character that should be more explored is Reiko. Even Meat has better backstory than him!

The comic must have hinted an alliance for sure. Reiko wants to be Emperor. Now he sided with the "daughter" of his idol.
 
I want that bow dude/dudette to shoot an arrow that sticks in opponents head, then run up and remove the arrow in upward motion so the head splices,then do a backflip kick using the bow as leverage double kicking both pieces of head.

OT: Yeah, I too at first was disgusted with the style, but then actually played it and liked it. It fit the game well and it was fun. Different, sure, but far from terrible.
