And that's fine, but I still stand by my opinion of it being fake as I stated before, which is why I pointed it out.
The question that was asked in the OP was whether it was real or not.

I'm not disagreeing about it being faked, but it being photoshopped is completely different.
 
I mentioned it looking shopped because it looks like Scorpion's mask was modified, painted green and put on top of a generic human model, as well as the claws that looked like they were placed on top of an existing human model.


Either way, whether it's shopped or an original creation, it looks fake.
 
No question about it being fake or not. It doesn't fit the presentation of the other MKX variation screenshots we've seen so far, which all show in game models.

I was just saying the artist was likely going for an exo-suit look. The human eyes are a dead giveaway of that. Nobody who was shopping an image to look like Reptile would leave the eyes normal.
 
If this is fake then I want the person who made this to make every other fighter! :love:

At least it's something compared to the nothing NRS has been giving us lately..
 
It is fake. I called it fake based on the gameplay description in the Variation, but now we have deviant art to prove it.

Agreed.
Shaolin Monks Reptile didn't look ridiculous, like in his other versions, and was very well done.

I wouldn't mind if they used that as the inspiration for MKX Reptile (if he's in).

I don't know why, but Reptile's MK4 design was by far my favorite. It seemed to have a nice balance between the humanoid and reptilian look. I wouldn't mind seeing an updated version of that, although i highly doubt it would happen.


I think it would be cool for one variation to be a human/reptilian mix, like MK4.
The second could be a full blown devolved Reptile, Tail and all.
Then the third one could be the humanoid version.

It could make sense in the story,
-Reptile starts off in his normal Reptile look
-He ends up devolving toward the middle the game
-Then by the end, he is restored to his humanoid version.

Keep in mind that i know that'll never happen...i'm just having fun :)
 
I'm fine with MK9 Repitle. And I have always thought this MK:SM looked nice, it was used later.

The one I HATE is MK:DA version.

Dude, that's a crocodile. And then they want him to use a mask that covers his face like there was nothing.

I don't remember Reptile having a mask in MK:DA

MK4 Reptile looks like a gimp.
His mask also looks like a muzzle.


Easily his worst look imo.
His MKDA costume was extreme, but at least it was interesting. His story about how he devolves when he spends too much time away from his realm.
