Dont like the price? Dont buy it simple as that.

You made a fair point at the end, but it's funny that you included this video. One of the lines in the song is "Fight for the rights of every man".

To put a long story short, isn't that what's happening in this thread? Every consumer has a right to complain.

The way to boycott is doing what I am doing that is not buying. If every single European did that they would "give a single ****".

^THIS!
Get over yourselves. NRS and Sony will not give a single **** that you are "boycotting" the DLC

Get over yourself! Im quite sure if something like this happened in America where you had to pay more for something, when everyone else got it cheaper then not get something you were promised, would cause very vocal on the subject matter. there would be million online petitions, emails sent, tweets and comments made.
Agreed they probably dont give a shit but i think people need to get together and get out opinions heard, there is no reason for the dlc stuff happening at all.
Making fun of something that does not relate to you or the situation you are in is immature and unconstructive to this thread.
(allthought the hulk hogan jim duggan twas excellent)

If you don't have anything to contribute then don't come in here and be a prick.

To your average American the OP may seem like a crybaby because of $10(the actual price of the DLC if you didn't bother reading) but it's not just that. It's the way we've been treated through out this gaming generation. We always get everything late and on top of it we have to pay more(is some cases MUCH more). And it's not just MK. Games, DLC, accessories, you name it. Sony is ripping us off because they can.

If you guys had to pay $80 for your games and $10 dollars for simple costumes that come 2 weeks late then you'd be complaining too.

Hell yeah we're gonna boycott this bs.

It's not really about "making them give a sh*t" for me. I simply am not paying 7€ for some re-skins, nor for a character.

Quick calculation : classic outfits + 4 DLC characters would equal 35€. That's more than half the box price for hardly any content at all.

On top of that, they have already stated more DLC characters would be coming. So what? I have to pay twice the box price for a handfull of characters six months down the road?

And to "add insult to injury", EU Xbox users can get those same DLC for 400 points. And they have the special discount as well. If you add up all that DLC and all those characters, it starts to add up. Marketing 101. The content provided does not warrant the price, hence I won't buy it. Simple as that.

And yes, MKBlade makes an excellent observation. Some of the US residents who like to interject with their "cry moar" mentality, seem to overlook this simple fact.

1. We pay 80 dollars for the basic game and 10 dollars for the DLC.
2. Only EU PS3 users have to pay said amount, since even Xbox EU users get it at (roughly) the same international price.

I highly doubt you'd be sitting there on your high horse should the situation be reversed. Judging by your "contributions" so far, I'd rather imagine you'd be going ballistic.

I think there is one other thing to consider, but I don't know how much of an impact (if any) this issue would cause:

I believe part of NRS's strategy for DLC is something like "If it sells, we'll make more".

If part of the MK fanbase is unhappy with the price of this content, and choose not to buy it, will NRS make more?

Whatever, I've got a job a few pounds extra isn't going to break the bank. Seriously, gaming is an expensive hobby...get over it.

If you had planned to buy all the DLC though, that's a few extra pounds for every single one. It adds up. This isn't exactly something to lose sleep over, but to dismiss people's annoyance at what is clearly unfair pricing is pretty ignorant. Companies will always try and hike prices as high as they can, it's important that the consumer complains if prices become unfair.

Like I care. If they make me pay more then I should, they don't even care if they make, because I won't buy anyway.

Actually, I was curious what Americans thought of the issue, especially those accusing Europeans of "crying". If this issue affects future production of DLC (ie. stops any such production), I imagine the wider community would only then become concerned.

Again, I'm not sure if it would cause any impact at all. Just thought I'd throw the question out there.
