PS3 European users, please BOYCOTT the DLC.

This is not about money, this is about Sony politics where EU is the "third world" and about their false promises and arrogant mockery to players. I always liked PS... But this pissed me off.
I awaited release and now I am only angry... Bastards!

The problem isn't money, the problem is that we EU PS3 users are treated worse than every other gamer in the world...and we don't accept this.

Xbox users = 400 Points
US PS3 users = 4,99 $
EU PS3 users = 10,6 $ and get the pack 3 weeks later

NOT FAIR
 
If Xbox EU can provide the same content for less than 5€, so should PS3 EU. Simple as that.
I have enough disposable income, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna throw it out the window just for the heck of it. The price difference adds up when taking into account the rest of the DLC still to come.
It isn't rocket science. If you can get the same content at a lesser price at Xbox, why stick with PS3?

You are right, gaming is an expensive hobby and a few pounds extra isn't going to break the bank. But EU costumers have the right to complain and boycott it, if we just silently buy all this stuff for outrageaus prices - yes, we can all agree the price for the kostumes is outrageaus - then they just keep exploiting us and gaming gets even more expensive. I would say it's expensive enough as it is.

And even if we agree with the price our content gets delayed over and over again, since we paid the full price for the console and the game I would say we have the right to expect our extra content to be released on the official release date. Not to mention they actually promised us we would get scarlet the 22nd.

No, it does not matter how you put it, psn Europe is screwing us big time...
 
Did anyone even try to ask them why it's higher? Sometimes the answer might be understandable.

Such as I have 2 vending machines and they are only like a 10 minute drive from each other. and both of them are in fire fighter stations. One is 40cents... and the other is 60cents. they asked me why that was. I investigated for them and come to find out the tax for a specific street was way higher than the other street. And the price had to be increased so we don't lose profit.

So i'm not defending them. I'm just saying you should ask first?

I asked everyone from NRS that I know has a twitter account, Sony (posting in EU blog 4 times and sending mails), WB (Twitter) and haven't received any answer.

hopefully you get an answer. otherwise I'd assume they are ignoring you to avoid telling you what you don't want to hear. such as "to make more money off you?"

Quite a few people seem to be missing empathy (the MK 'community' is a particularly harsh one I've noticed) and show a lack of understanding of the potential of consumer power. If enough poeple show a little bit of gumption and boycott the product then whoever decided to set the price so much higher will have made a poor decision in terms of return sales.

Trust me when I tell you (and I don't mean this to sound arrogant) I am loaded, I havent had a paid job (I do a fair bit of volunteer research) for nearly 10 years, I travel the world, I live in a big house, I can afford this extra price increase without a thought.

I will not be buying this dlc because there is no justification for EU PSN users to pay nearly double what everyone else is paying. Add to that insult the fact it's arriving 2 weeks later than everyone else and still no sign or news of Skarlett.

Saying you won't buy this is not about whinging about the cost, it's about not being taken advantage of by a company, or being treated worse for no reason than it's other customers. This isn't about USA vs Europe, it's not about xbox vs Playstation, this is about Sony's Europe division repeatedly screwing it's customers in more ways than one and shrugging your shoulders and buying the dlc anyway will not achieve anything, enough people not buying might just get someone to notice.

Seriously, you guys got an extra character out of the box, 3D, I beleive, and when the Xbox users said "Oh Hey, we would like something too!", you said "Yeah? Well SCREW YOU! YOU GET EVERYTHING, WHINE SOME MORE!".

Take your own advice, guys...

Actually, I'd be happier if Kratos and his arena were not in my copy of the game. I don't like "guest" characters being in MK, but I digress.

Don't paint everyone with the same brush. Not everyone feels that way with regards to console exclusives. I don't like receiving any preferential treatment, or anyone else receiving any. Why not just treat everyone fairly?

You are the exception then, my friend. Alot, and I mean A LOT of PS3 users basically told us Xbox users to shove off when we complained about not having a Exclusive.

While I admit it sucks for those of you PS3 users who are actually cool, I have no sympathy for most of you (not you, in particular)

Whew! I was fearful this would be the only thread on TRMK that DIDN'T have a post bashing Kratos. Damn, that was soooo close!

On topic; Good luck EU MKers on your boycott. Thank goodness you guys didn't have the game banned completely like our Aussie friends, eh?

I understand what you are saying, but riddle me this:

Why is the price for EU xbox users €4,80 and EU ps3 users €7? I hardly think WB would charge only the European region of PS3 users different then:

US PS3 users
US XBOX users
EU XBOX users

The EU store has always been overpriced, look at Call of Duty, Rock Band etc.

No Warner had little to nothing to do with this. They can say "Don't sell it for less than 5 euro."

Okidoki! says Sony and they add another 2 euro's for nothing but greedy ****ing profit.

IF it was WB's decision to ask more money from EU users than US users, Sony could have stood up for us, as befits a proper supporting manufacturer by saying "No, that won't be fair."

But they didn't.

My guess, this is Sony's doing. Not WB's.
