PS3 European users, please BOYCOTT the DLC.

wow, okay so you pay 80$ for a game, which is higher than the u.s.(its different pricing all over) but you expect dlc to be the same price as the u.s.? that doesn't make sense. the dollar is higher is eu/uk then u.s. what did you expect? common sense would and should tell you that your 20 dollars extra you pay for games, which is higher than the u.s. game pricing, that the dlc will be higher too. right? okay. and fyi, the dlc packs have a major bug in them for the u.s., so we still cant play them online 90% of the time. the fix is coming soon. yes you get things later, but the bugs have been ironed out by the time you get them. some of you like lordraiden who ALWAYS is angry and complains about EVERYTHING is calling for a boycott. go ahead sell your ps3's with blu ray for an outdated dvd 360. your loss. just chill out and wait for the adjustment/explanation before tripping out. PSN is free, 360 isnt, trust me you ARE paying for that extra dlc you just dont realize it. The 360 takes MUCH longer to load the player list in the online rooms, has a horrible dpad, doesnt have the extra trailers, no kratos, and your restricted to one account per subscription. want another id? 50 bucks please....Yeah Sony really screwed you over. theres just no pleasing everyone. i had both games, trust me the ps3 version is the one you want. Maybe they will address it, maybe not. but grow up, if you dont want it, dont buy it, that should be your statement, but most of you will as true MK fans will buy it. no one is twisting your arms. peace out.

I understand what you are saying, but riddle me this:

Why is the price for EU xbox users €4,80 and EU ps3 users €7? I hardly think WB would charge only the European region of PS3 users different then:

US PS3 users
US XBOX users
EU XBOX users

The EU store has always been overpriced, look at Call of Duty, Rock Band etc.

No Warner had little to nothing to do with this. They can say "Don't sell it for less than 5 euro."

Okidoki! says Sony and they add another 2 euro's for nothing but greedy ****ing profit.

IF it was WB's decision to ask more money from EU users than US users, Sony could have stood up for us, as befits a proper supporting manufacturer by saying "No, that won't be fair."

But they didn't.

My guess, this is Sony's doing. Not WB's.

*Grabs tin foil Raiden hat*

Sony charges a % out of the price the Distributor says, so your guess is actually wrong.

The Marketplace has universal content, and I'm not sure if servers are region specific, but as far as I know once content reaches the NA Marketplace EU Marketplace gets it as well. It's also the same price because it runs on Microsoft Points, most likely.

also i have both systems, but any fighting fan will tell you, the ps3 is the best for this genre. i dont dare play fighters on 360 with that dpad, unless you have a wired hori pad controller or ps2 dualshock to 360 adapter. shooters like gears, call of duty etc.. heck yeah but fighters just rule on ps3. 360 mk rooms=1/2 full ps3 rooms=totally full. wha does that tell you. you will regret the 360 version.

Read the entire thread, don't glance at it. It clearly states that most people wouldn't mind paying a bit extra. 5 euro's wouldn't have been a problem, since we're used to it.

But simply multiplying the price by 2 is unacceptable.

We don't pay 80 dollars for our games, mostly around 70, but that's not the point.

We are talking about digital distribution. There are no logistics costs, no re-writing manuals for foreign languages etc.

All these above things contribute to the retail games price differences.

That simply doesnt apply, and ergo isn't justified for DLC.

PERIOD.

Another guy who doesn't understand the meaning of this thread, and writes ********s, great.

- Paying an extra for DLCs here in Europe is ok, but DOUBLING the price isn't.
- If we buy the costumes, we still can't use it online because the game desynchronizes.
- All the technical differences between PS3 and 360 have nothing to do with this.

In a nutshell, sorry....

US PSN Store 5 dollars
US Xbox Live 5 dollars
EU Xbox Live 5 euro's/ 7 dollars (400 points equals 5 euro's)
EU PSN Store 7 euro's/ 10 dollars

See it now? Even EU xbox users pay about 2 dollars more then their US friends, but everyone is used to companies swapping the dollar sign for the euro sign. We would have been cool with that.

But Sony takes it 1 step further by grabbing another 3 extra dollars AND FOR WHAT?

That's why I think WB isnt at fault in this case, since there already is a price difference for eu/us xbox. Which is reasonable to normal.

Sony just takes a big steaming dump on it's EU userbase.

then dont buy it. not that hard l.raiden. maybe you should quit gaming all together since your upset over pricing in eu/uk. theres tons of games your region has that we dont have here. MK VS DC was censored here, not there, siren was censored for america, never got siren 2...etc. also tons of great films come there that we have to import just for america..etc. its a give and take. your blaming everyone, spreading hate, calling for boycotts and you dont even have a full response yet from netherrealm. things are just different in different regions. come on man, your 31.

Let me get something straight. What part of SONY HAS NO WORD ON THE PRICE don't you get? Specially when I know it for fact, not by guess?

Aries-dude, you should really stop writing stupidities because this is becoming comical.
WHO CARES about other games, movies, etc...? We are talking about how unfair is the price, not what Europe/America does or doesn't get.
What LordRaiden writes doesn't spread hate and the boycott idea is good even if you don't get it.
Come on man, you are 34.

I'm not even going to argue with you............ Waste o'time.

I'll re-explain how this works:

-Distributors send content, they decide price.

-Sony doesn't ADD a few extra dollars to get profit, they instead charge a percantage out of the price the distributor says.

How you can still say it's Sony who adds extra dollars is far beyond me, really.

Let's turn it around:

What good is it going to do for WB just ask more from ONLY THE EU PS3 users?

This isn't the first time EU Store has a % wise higher price when compared to US PSN and all xbox regions.

Therefore I find it hard to believe this is Warner at work.

I really want to believe you, but this is well-known Sony EU behaviour.

I don't see a single reason why WB would do such a thing and Sony is known for pulling stunts like this.

Sorry if this makes me look ignorant or stupid, but I stand by my comment.

If you think the price is the only reason you're stupid. Have you even read the thread? We have a three week delay, Skarlet missing, no explanations given and the DLC is overpriced.

Every DLC I've bought follows the Price in dollar = price in euro, and even if I pay more than US it's fine, I wouldn't expect them to make me pay the exact conversion. Here we have a scam instead, when I have to two euros more than what XBox european users paid three weeks ago.. Adding the fact that Skarlet was promised on Twitter by NRS Developers and Sony, guess why we're that mad.

Wow. I lol at the people who don't get our problem. No empathy at all. and look at their age, they are completely lost forever, no hope! xD

I tweeted everyone again.

oh and the americans in this thread repping me down, have fun! i'm sure repping me down is going to affect me xD

Ah, but I explain you. MK DLC on Xbox LIVE! on all Locales:

400 Points

See? Microsoft's system runs on points, so the actual price in money of the content is actually decided by Microsoft's team, given they decide how much do points cost in all regions. However, it's the distributor the one to deicde how much currency it'd cost (or points in this case). So Distributors accord the price in Dollars, then transfer to Euro (I'm pretty sure 400 points is a recurring price for DLC, hence MS decision to charge that much to buy points), and both the PSN and the LIVE! Systems usually get the very same price.

So why is this one price higher is far beyond me. (And again, not Sony's decision: Otherwise why would they choose MK DLC instead of CoD DLC or something else that would sell millions of times more to get the extra money?).

Don't be surprised, I advise, if the price sent to Sony was incorrect, wouldn't be the first time.

And I don't believe you're ignorant, but all this info isn't usually talked about, so it's normal people don't know it :)

EDIT: Just to know, who else has e-mailed WB studios?

Yup, I just hope they'll say "shweeesh, sorry there was a mistake in MK DLC pricing", as they usually say (trust me I've seen a lot of these "little" mistakes with Rock Band DLC). They don't even get you a refund, also. Hence why it's better to wait/not buy them at all.
