People's extreme love and passion towards characters

Nah he claims I was judging people, as in looking down on them in another thread. and he quoted me and changed what I said which was just a statement of what would happen if you took a choice, and tried to change it to something negative that I didn't even say. I want him to quote me where I said something judgemental but he won't do it.

Agreed with this.
I don't get why some would take me not wanting or caring for Kitana, Jax, Johnny or Kung Lao in MKX, personally.
They're in, so it's water under the bridge now, but I don't get blindly defending said character(s) to such an extreme and resorting to name-calling and flaming others because of it.
It's happened with more than 1 character on these threads, too, ranging from Kitana and Johnny to Tanya.
 
I kind of feel we can mostly all agree it makes no sense to attack someone, because they don't like something you like lol.

Hopefully someone who typically overly defends a character can chime in on why they feel it's justified.
 
Alright fair enough answer Mr limit but I never had a main in MK9 LOL I was one of those people who played more than one. Let me see.... Ermac, Lao, Jax, Liu, Kabal, Quan Chi. I beat many players in that game but because it's the only game I played I syarted to use more people. All I was saying was just because someone uses only one person it doesn't mean they will beat someone who use multiple(it goes both ways really) but you pretty much said what I was talking about.

Incubus and his hypocritical statements have no end. That guy swears up and down he's the most righteous person on the forum but constantly insults and harasses others. Why he's never been banned, I have no clue.

Chill out. Everyone. I made this thread to allow for a better understanding for myself, and some may also use this thread to better understand everyone. This wasn't made to attack anyone as I disclaimed in my first post.

I don't really have a problem with people making requests to the publishers. At the same time, publishers have the right to refuse, after all, they are the ones investing the money into making the assets.

They listen too much sometimes, especially about gameplay balances from random people :(
 
People need to get over their sense of entitlement and passion for characters of the past to the point where you claim you will not buy the game and stuff like that. Try to let it go, it's just a game! I am trying to let go of my favourite Baraka. Hell, it wouldn't even bother me one bit that he is not in, if it wasn't for the achievement photo where he looks amazing imo, but that's beside the point.

The point is, people should just take a deep breath, let go of the characters and roster itself, and just look at what they have done with each single character. Just watch the videos, the streams and see how detailed, varied and amazing the 3-variation system is. It seems like NRS is really outdoing themselves as far as making the most simplistic / old / bland characters feel like new and heavily improved! Moves and looks are just 100x better than any previous game and it's not just because of next-gen technology.

I get that you want one or several of your favourite, but try to see this as a new chapter, a whole new game and maybe finally moving on from nostalgic feelings of old MK games and certain characters while trying to appreciate some old characters you didn't really like / play with + the totally new. I recently made the mistake to download the arcade kollection and played MK2 & MK3, boy how I wish I hadn't. Those were some terrible games compared to this. So little moves, computer reacting to what buttons you push, beating you with just a combo of fists one after the other.

I couldn't have said this any better.
I will give "Thanks" when I'm able to again.
This post describes essentially what I feel going into MKX.
Nightwolf and Rain were 2 of my 3 mains in MK9, but even then I'd rather have them sit out for a little while and let some of the new guys like Kotal, Takeda and Ferra / Torr take up the spot for a little bit.
 
Ya know MKX looks like the mk game we've always wanted. And it looks like the game NRS always wanted to make. If this my boy Liu's last hurrah for a while im gonna enjoy this game to the fullest. As much as a am a fan of the character. The game itself looks like what we've all dreamed of. I can't wait to whoop everyone with the supreme champion for the next 3 to 4 years

Will you play the next iterations if Liu never comes back?
 
I think it would be healthy for those who are fans of the "regulars" to have a game where they aren't in it. Then they would know how it is to be like us whose faves aren't in every game.

The problem with that, as much as I love the idea; is the game simply stops being Mortal Kombat then.
