Online Tag Battle

Dead or Alive 4 had 2 on 2 tag online and it worked just fine so im not sure if connetion problems are an excuse but its whatever, Im more focused on 1 vs 1 and destroying people anyways lol.

MAN THAT SUCKS. MAAAAAAAAAAN THAT REALLY REALLY SUCKS. Hopefully 2 friends can play against each other tag-team, but this is sad.

nooooo :( i really wanted 2 be on the same team with alisa </3
false hopes, oh well. i wont be using tag mode alot then, probably lots of spammers :/

can you still play a tag team match online just you versus someone else each controlling 2 characters or is it just you can't have a tag team with someone else like you're both on the same team

Well... That is just beyond retarded.

I was really excited to do a tag team match ONLINE against other people.

I moved away from all my friends who play MK, how in the world am I going to do that now? GG NRS. >:[

Oh and that dude that has a hard time speaking ENGLISH is very hard to understand in that video. Damn.

Why can't you play 1 vs 1 online with your friends? You're acting like tag team is the only online mode. It'll still be fun as it has been for years.

As long as I can do 1v1 online or 1v1 tag online, I'm happy. I didn't even know this co-op part of tag existed.

It would be cool if multiple console support for tag existed, but I think a lot of it had to do with net coding.

Four consoles transferring and receiving input data. Plus if they have match viewing, all those people are receiving data (anyone know if there is match viewing? I died when it want in MvC3). If net coding isn't solid enough they may have just scrapped it...it's not easy to rewrite a entire net code for one mode....

But hopefully for you guys they cab work it out.

I´m not sure, but is it possible to play online tag team on 3 consoles then? For Example: 1 Tag Team on 2 consoles and the other team both players on 1 console?

I don't know but I know that if there's only two consoles you can do 2 vs 2 even if three people are on a console and one is on the other.

And for those who are SO angry, NRS never confirmed 4 consoles tag so don't blame them.

That makes sense. I mean look at what's in the game already. Pretty sure the idea didn't get ignored but yeah net coding seems like a possible reason.

No lie, that just lost about three sales from my friends, who are not incredibly good and were looking to tag along with me to sort of even us out and have fun. I'm incredibly disappointed, as well. This was a major selling point for me and my group of pals.

We were explicitly told we COULD play online with four players on multiple occasions, which is why this angers me. It's ******** to say we can for months on end and then revoke those statements a week before launch. Shame on those guys for doing that to us.

Besides in a handful of tweets and interviews? Yeah, they did and realized it was too problematic to devote time to, so it was cut. I'm fine if it were mere speculation, but get your people in order so they're not lying to everyone about it. Make sure you're all on the same page.

EDIT: This was also the selling point of the mode itself for me. I won't touch it, as there is no interest or point to it. I've never understood the obsession with tag team modes if you're controlling both of the characters, as there truly is nothing special to it then, for me. I would rather be great one-on-one than adequate with micromanagement.

You're saying that just because 4 console online support is out, your friends don't want to explore a wonderful story mode, arcade mode, challenge tower, krypt, test your sight, test your might, test your luck and test your strike? That seems like an outrageous lie.

This feature seems like it would have been fun, but really I think I would get bored watching my "not so good friend" die and then have to carry the battle by myself against two opponents. Seems like something small to throw a great gane away for.
