According to that Cheatcc.com article the online for this game is going to be amazing. Hopefully you wont be able to tell the difference between online and offline.

I think it'll be pretty good. Like previously stated, NRS said they've been focused on online since the beginning. Plus King of the Hill mode looks pretty cool; also, I'm sure there are other online modes they haven't announced yet, so I definitely think online will be good. I'll definitely will be putting time into it, thats for sure.

Need some online help
I can go toe to toe with an expert bot and be okay through most of the fight, being able to hit some decent 20%-30% combos when I get a good hit in too. But when I hit online, I feel good about going in and playing, but then I just get whooped. This isn't just from people who have outstanding records, but even by people with less than .5 win ratio and all they do is teleport and uppercut.
I'm asking for some help or advice to get me through this, I've got a really bad player record because of it and I'm starting to get annoyed. Any suggestions will be helpful, thanks.

Not entirely based on luck. You have more than enough time to punish a teleport on block with a combo. The lag has gotten much better too, just don't rush into fights as soon as you get a challenge wait a few seconds for the latency bar to load up. Rule of thumb if it takes more than 5 seconds or so for the guy's latency to show up, check his gamertag and see if he has his location mentioned in his profile, more than likely he'll be overseas and you'll want to avoid those games.

first off i just want to say that im excited for skarlet as dlc have u guys seen her alternate? it looks so good (except for those things on the back of her hood) she doesnt look skimpy at all she's actually wearing pants.
back on topic, i was just wondering since im on ps3 the little bit that i played online i was too focused on kicking ass online and didnt look around for certain things.
have u guys noticed if they have preset rooms online with specific rules like
1- TEST YOUR LUCK ROOM
2- NO X-RAY ROOM
3- NO EX ENHANCE SPECIAL ROOM
can somebody please verify if u can create these type of rooms where the rules are programmed and u dont have to input the kombat kodes.
i know these type of matches are possible but its better if its preset cause u cant allways rely on ur opponent to input the kodes and it wil be so much better to go to a particular room where everybody knows the rules already.

I only played online for a sort while also but this is what I gathered.
You can make rooms titled whatever you want and anyone can join, don't think you can set PW for them. Only private invites for game types such as 1v1 or KOTH keep out strangers. There are no rule or game types settings per room either. They are basically chat rooms and you send out invites to people in the room for various game types.

that kinda sucks in a way, it would be so much easier if they have a whole bunch of rooms where u dont need the kombat kode input just read the tittle and join. i hope NRS can add this and even make a lobby that has every single kombination of the test ur luck. for example if im superior than my opponent to balance it out or even make it challengin for myself, my opponent and i can go to a room where he gets armor and i get jumping dissabled, it would be awesome because theres really thousands of ways u can mix and match. or i can have poisoned and he gets 3 good choices like armor,lucky and unlimited ex moves i think that would be fun as hell. its not like they need to create this feature its allready in the game they just need to incorporate it to online.

PSN and MK online soon to be aftermath.
Does anyone else feel that with PSN going down that a large quantity of PSN players will leave. But also it goes to the fact if PSN is still down a lot of people will also just stop buying PS3 to an extent. But with MK9 as many have said the online is subpar. With the aftermath soon to be of PSN being hacked are we gonna see a lot less MK players on MK9 online on PSN, or will it still have the huge fanbase online?

I haven't particularly had a problem with either, but I suppose that indicates that both are pretty much the same.
