Official TRMK Tier Rankings: YOU Vote!

I'll give Kenshi a good 8.25.

Very good specials that can keep the opponent at bay since he's part zoner, and when he needs to, his sword combos are relatively safe, mainly F+2, 2 strings.

People don't even know how dumb Kenshi is yet. He can poke you safely from 2 meters away and force you to block on your wake up. He can tele-***** slap you from full screen and chain X-ray after a deflecting your projectile. He has good combos, footsies, set ups, counters, mixups, wake up and anti-airs. He's basically Nightwolf, Noob, Ermac and Baraka all in one.

He's good in the hands of bad players. In the hand of great players he can be unstoppable.

Kenshi is retarded. That's all I'm gonna say. I don't even feel like giving him a score. DLC characters shouldn't be allowed in tournaments just like Kratos. Unless they tone them down a bit.

You may want to actually do some reading in this thread before you start calling me out with allusions to the validity of my character choices.

If you had taken the time to actually read the previous posts, you'd see that the characters are selected via Random.org.

Thanks >_>

I read this whole thread but who cares why should dlc characters be even chosen before anyone else when they havent been out long enuff for anyone to really give a solid opinion have you noticed how up and down the kenshi ratings are? Maybe you shouldn't do it by random atleast exclude the dlc characters till the end or something.

Its was my understanding that kenshi doesn't have that great of AA or else why would he have a issue with crossup pressure? Give him an answer to that then tone him down too. Tho not to the extent ud guys want. I can already twll ud kneejerk nerf him 6feet under. Tho he probably does need toned down

It's not that he has terrible anti-airs necessarily, his specials just leave him standing straight up so while his Tele-Fury is beating the shit out of thin air, Kenshi is eating a jump punch.

hmm, what about crossups then? i dont see telefury as a good anti air cuz of the strict timing required at that range

Lol crossup pressure kills Kenshi outright, people act like he has no weakness. It's like Ermac hate at release all over again.

Even with all that he is still under both Kung Lao and Raiden...although I'm sure if people cry enough he'll be nerfed. Although I predict there won't be any other substantial balancing until the 4th Dlc is out.

Spirit charge is one of the best anti-airs in the game IMO, but that's just me, and you can use the tele-slash too but I prefer spirit charge.

my problem is however strong he is if he is neutralized by crossups...something every single player in the game can do then that needs to be addressed at the same time or before nerfs.

its one thing to have bad matchups, but vs anyone that can crossup well it means hes at a disadvantage against anyone doesnt it?

Not anyone as players like Jax and Cage and Kang could still have trouble getting into him in the first place making it very tough to cross him up consistently. I do see what you mean though. I'm playing a bit of wait and see with the DLC characters. No one knows what Kenshi and Skarlet are really like, they're too new. A lot will be figured out still and thus I would really like for some more time to pass before any serious talk of nerfing or buffing is brought up.

And as Fox mentioned, Spirit Charge and Rising Karma are both strong anti-air moves. Though the timing on Spirit Charge must be practiced once or twice or you run the risk of whiffing and eating some punishment.

Guess what? Since you're the only one that has a problem with the way I do things and since I also really don't care because this is my thread, I'm gonna keep doing things the way I wanna do them. Thanks.

If you have anymore trivial complaints please file them under G.

i figured rising kharma SHOULD be AA but is it strong? just asking cuz i dont really know myself as i havent played him too much and saw people saying anyone that crosses him up has him at a large disadvantage as he didnt have a good way out.

Also everyone, I seriously apologize for not changing the character. I've been away from home and on mobile, so I can't really do the equations to determine character rankings that easily.

I'll try however.

trivial complaint.. lol more of a suggestion then anything but keep on winning

If you bring up something once, it's a suggestion. Call me crazy but after that it turns into a complaint. Now just quit it and either:

A) Cast a character vote

B) Discuss the current character

And since you've already done A, that leaves you with B. Anything else is off-topic and detracts from the thread. I prefer that you keep it on-topic. Thank you. I don't care if you like how I do things in here or not, the simple fact that I am the one running this gives me the right to put characters up at my discretion.

Not to mention MORE than enough time has passed for Kenshi to be analyzed in a viable and definitive manner. I know what I'm doing here. Everyone knows his strengths and everyone knows his weaknesses.

People, correct me if I'm wrong on the above.

I think it's a bit early to be giving a proper breakdown of Kenshi. It took longer than this for people to realize that Ermac wasn't God-tier, it took longer for people to uncover Sub-Zero's strong offensive potential, and to this day I still think Jade's potential has not been tapped in the slightest by most high-level players. I refrained from giving Kenshi a definite score earlier in the thread for this very reason. I don't find this to be a cataclysmic problem mostly because I don't see this tier list being made in hopes of determining an end-all for character's effectiveness, it's a more casual tool. I'm not sure you're wrong in your assessment of Kenshi's timeline, but I do disagree personally. Mind you, I also don't think we'll see a very accurate tier list even at the highest level for a number of months yet lol.

Thank you. Thirteen I dont care how you do things keep on winning, I made a suggestion and elaborated on why I recommended it.

But like u said no point beating a dead horse and derailing/distracting everyone (lmao) so ill "quit it".
