Quan chi's teleport can't stagger opponents, so I can't add pressure afterwards. How come the ninjas can still make a move after landing a teleport? Even Scorpion's towards 4,3 allows him to dash for more pressure.

I have to rely on the trap string again now.
 
all in all...mk9 is by far the best fighting game in a long time, some might argue is the best mk game ever, sadly tho, and am sure many will agree, the online side of it has not been handled properly, is all am saying.

i think as consumers we deserve some answers as to whats going on, wheter on twitter or a formal presser, something needs to be said.
if i knew this was going to be the case? xbox 360all the way would have been.
also in all honesty, no one can tell me its acceptable for a great game with a great following being spear headed by a milti billion company like WB, should have all this issues at all.
theres a concept of testing, they should adopt that concept.

the game is great, and am happy is here, but they need to fix this, we the gamers are entitle to a fix and news about the fix, after all, with out us, there would be no mk.
 
mk9 patch?? When is it coming

I'm getting so sick and tired of the online for mk9, it is the most garbage piece of s*** online service I've ever experienced in my entire life and with a company like WB, we're experiencing this? Capcom makes nowhere near as much as WB, yet WB can't support a decent online, especially when you have to purchase a download code to play it??????? I'm getting beat by dudes who's records are like 4/30 on ranked and let me just tell you, it takes 10 mins just to find those guys too.

When the hell does the patch come out? Does anybody know if it's going to be legit too? Hector and Ed both stated that mk9 "had little or no lag", lies. I'm so pissed off right now, I have lost almost all ranked matches to scrubs who only use Raiden, Scorpion, and Kano. They use Scorpion's 3 hit combo, fp, fp, fp, and then a back sweep. They do Raiden's little combo with the overhead, and then the same goes for Kano. It's not like I can go to tournaments and there are many people like me out there, so how are people supposed to get good? Capcom, a company who doesn't make nearly as much as WB produces smooth online. Outta 100 matches, I get 5 maybe that are unplayable. Btw, all the matches I've played on SF were via wireless, I've done everything to try and help the online for mk9. Straight to modem, nothing works for that piece of s*** online that Ed and Hector lied about.

Garbage online, especially from a multi-billion dollar company. NRS and WB get your s*** together, come out with a game that's decent in 15 years but the online feels exactly like Dial Up. It's 2011, I know you're trying to revive the whole 90's scene with MK, but that doesn't mean you have to use 90's Dial Up Online, especially when people who are purchasing a used version of the game have to pay 10 bucks for your BS.

Unfortunately, MK 2011 currently is a very unstable game online. Seems that its online netcode was poor developed, bad projected, or , just lazy built .....

As a offline game, it's a 9,5/10 .... as online game, 4/10.

mk9 is the best MK since umk3, hands down. MKT is my favorite MK (not to play), but the best MK for me is umk3. So, you can imagine I was pretty worried when the game was coming out and it turned out to be a good game. Overall though, the look and feel is almost identical to vsDC and I've said many times that the game is a 2D version of it. It's still fun to play though, but the thing that really holds it back is the lousy online and there is no excuse for it. Especially when the game is being released by a company like WB, like they're going to be making money off of this game until they get rid of the servers because people are gonna pay for the codes.

Like, they finally release a decent MK after 15 years of bs and nobody can say that the games after UMK3 weren't bs because NRS wouldn't have practically made a re-telling remake, they know they f*cked up. I just want at least a decent connection, outta 10 matches, 1 of them is some what playable. I've tried this game at a friend's house who has amazing internet and it was still the same s*it.

This patch better fix it, I'm getting tired of Ed's bs after bs.

My online connection is great, I have awesome matches with little to no lag, thanks NRS for fixing the lag issues, although it can still be polished up some more.

It's clear as water that NRS did not tested enough this game for online gameplay , or, they did not simulate the correct conditions for online gameplay in their development labs, and , taking wrong decision, said public that the MK 2011 online netcode was "amazing" .....

Well, we know that is not true, so, we are waiting for a solution .... if exists one ......

the online is useable for me, but it is a long way from what it could be and it results in the same characters doing the same moves as many combos just don't work so well online.

Streetfighter is far smoother.

Patch 1.02 has made Online much more smooth compared to before, the draw back is some games become unavailable or de-synchronize 75% more often than v 1.01.

You aren't missing out on much the Online is still non functional really, if it isn't one thing it's another. I really hope the masses don't go and feed WB with more loot by buying Skarlet when half their game is still broken.

It seems like all the Ps3 players are getting little to no lag at all. I own a 360 and I have to say it's pretty damn laggy, especially those king of the hill rooms.

I'm pretty pissed off at the desynching... I must say though when I am lucky enough to get a fight going, it's next to no lag, I can pull off full combos no problem.

But out of 10 matches 9 desync! Which is the biggest problem. I almost threw my controller at my screen the other night coz I'm on a busy schedule and don't get much time to play. When I finally got to sit down for a couple of hours, I only got to play like 5 matches...

You guys obviously aren't playing in KOTH with more than 4 people. 1v1 has pretty much always been good but KOTH has always been laggy. The netcode patch isn't even out yet, so I don't see how anything could have been improved. :p

Sans, if you're on XBOX then who knows when the patch will be out on that, since MS is slow with testing the patch. PS3 players already have the patch, it fixed the lag a lot, very smooth but lots of desyncs so we're waiting on another patch to fix that. Just be patient and hopefully the next patch will be out when Skarlet DLC comes out next week.

i hardly get lag, almost none existent for tag and 1v1, koth gets some lag, but not as bad as before.

the only problem i have with online is the disconnection issues, some times it takes for ever to conect and finally play. also ranked matches are horrible to connect to, takes for ever. No excuses for them to release without testing much more than what they did.

had no patch in the uk yet, or if it has downloaded my friends did it and didnt tell me when i was drunk. Onlines fine for me except the odd KOTH match but it needs work, hope it will be lag free at some point but i highly doubt it. SSF4 is flawless online, but i suck at it and dont play online anymore

Yeah, when you start up your game. It'll ask you to update to 1.02 patch manually. It came out last Friday for PS3 users. Patches are usually manually downloaded, the hotfixes are automatically dl without you even knowing.
