sorry to rain on every one's parade of the glitch but its just a glitch i was playing with noob in his
mk2 outfit to see if it was true...i messed up his fatality and he went into his win pose and the purple shadow came back out and now smoke doesn't come out anymore combos/xray/fatalities etc 8(

Here is what happened.
1. I picked Noob (MK2 Alternate Color) and Kenshi
2. Noob used Smoke's color as a shadow (as everyone has seen)
3. Played Tag Ladder, consistent Shadow Smoke recolor throughout.
4. Went against Shang Tsung. Shang transformed into Noob.
5. After Shang's Transformation, Noob's shadow was back to regular black version of Noob, no more Smoke recolor.
6. Stayed that way until Shao Khan.
Conclusion, it's a glitch. Note though that I played it again but this time with Jade and Noob (MK2 alternate color) and noticed that when Shang doesn't transform into Noob, Noob's shadow stays as Smoke. Thoughts?

Noob-smoke glitch
I bet most of you know if you press start while selecting Noob Saibot's MK2 costume, all of his shadow attacks are replace with Smoke attacks...not just the special moves, but also the combos, XRAY and my favorite, the win animation
Some say this is a glitch...one guy even went as far as calling NRS inexperienced developers that can't even release costumes without having problems.

I for one don't think this is a glitch...i think this is homage to the short lived Noob-Smoke alliance. And I love NRS for it. If it IS a glitch...it is one of the coolest glitches, that i hope NEVER get's patched. Playing with Noob-Smoke in 2v2 has never been this fun

If you play as Noob in his main, and Shang morphs into Noob, and you beat him while being Noob and then you perform "Make a Wish", Noob's Shadow will be Noob (without the purple glow), then you will have 3 Noobs in main costume at the same time in the screen, this gltch happens since I got the game.

No it's definitely Smoke...in Noob's win animation you can see that his shadow is Smoke or a base MK2 Ninja, complete with fair skin pupils. lol. Honestly Noobs alternate MK2 costume is ugly and dark purple looking, but it's worth the easter egg!

I pressed start while secting Noob's MK2 costume and he still has his same 'ol Noob Saibot moveset.
EDIT: Nevermind, I just realized that you just meant that the Shadow is Smoke. Maybe you should take out the word "Attacks", it threw me off completely, I thought you meant that Noob would have Smokes moves.

lmao! That's hilarious! This brings back so many memories of Chameleon causing Ninja colors to go haywire in MKT, and Raiden switching Alt colors when 2 players pick Raiden and teleport too much

This is no glitch, the mk2 Noob second color will make the Noob in a navy blue with a bit of purple and the mk2 smoke as his shadow.

Its not a glitch guys, if it was then the primary mk2 noob would have it too since the shadows are the SAME.

Weird glitch while playing hidden noob
Ok so I downloaded the kenshi dlc played thru the ladder. I then had an opportunity to face the hidden fight noob and so got to him when noob finally drops to the screen he has the klassic smoke outfit on. Also another time I playef as kratos in the ladder chose his fear kratos skin played against kebshi and kratos was all whitish grey with the bright red stripe instead of being darkish and red. This happen to anyone

When the game came out, Scorpion had a glicth that you could perform the classic fatality when using his alternate costume, but you couldn't with his main, it was a glitch, and the fatality is the same.
Same applies to Noob-Smoke, I cannot understand why people says is not a glitch, it is one, if this would be happening in a MKD alt instead of an MK2 alt then I could understand is a reference not a glitch, but is MK2 costume, MK2 Noob has nothing to do with the Noob-Smoke alliance from Deception.
It is a glitch. Someone should ask Boon on twitter, maybe he answers.

yeah its awesome iv been doin NOOB/SMOKE tag team ever since i learned they wer gettin klassics and this was the 1st thing i noticed when i downloaded them but since the klassics are pre patch versions i cant use them as good as i had been without the costumes sadly especialy since i dont know smokes OTG smoke cloud (since i didnt pay as them much b4 the patch) anyways nice pic \m/
