Official NFL Thread

Now now, Jade! Don't jinx our Cowboys! You already did that earlier in the year with your avatar! Although the NYG loss today did put both Dallas and Washington in control of their own playoff destinies.

Well, after looking at the playoff picture further, it turns out the Giants just shot themselves in the foot by losing to ATL. Not only did they cough up sole possession of the division lead, but they also coughed up control of their own playoff destiny. NYG is currently on the short side of the stick in the division record tiebreaker against both WAS and DAL. Meaning, if DAL or WAS win out (and those two teams meet in Week 17, by the way), then whoever wins the Week 17 DAL/WAS game wins the NFC East, regardless of what NYG does these next 2 weeks. NYG MUST win out AND either get help from Philly and/or NO, or hope that DAL/WAS ends in a tie, or they are screwed.

Anyone else here watching SF vs. NE? I sure didn't see this coming... yikes.

Yikes to the 1st half, an emphatic YES! to the 2nd half. It's only too bad that the massive comeback was undone by essentially, lucky 2-play drive. Also, Pats haters can get all kinds of crooked bent, haha.

Congratulations Cowboy. Although if the score was reversal in New England's favor and the 49ers lost, then the Falcons would have clinch the 1st round bye. But oh well. Let's see what happens next week.

Seattle just scored 50 points or more in back-to-back games, blowing the hell out of Bills. The 49ers can't sleep on them in the future.

At least in Seattle they can't! Everyone knows the Seahawks are using fake crowd noise, but no one bats an eyelash! Talk to me when the Seahawks can win a playoff game on the road! Oh wait, they DID...in Super Bowl XL...at least they would have if not for the refs!

Well, even though Seattle is NOT my team, it's still anyone's game on the NFC West.

Plus, I'm not watching tonight's game between Jets and Titans although I will be watching the Countdown.

Your coach is still a cheater, your rings are still a lie, and your pretty-boy QB who is single-handedly responsible for the pussification of the league is still a backup from Michigan! Bernard Pollard is my hero!

Well, it's official. We got the 6 teams on the AFC side in the playoffs:

Houston Texans
Denver Broncos
New England Patriots
Baltimore Ravens
Indianapolis Colts
Cincinnati Bengals

Anyways, I'm happy about last night's win over the Lions and clinched both #1 seed and home-field advantage. Now all we gotta concentrate on is finally winning a playoff game.

Oh my god, man, third quarter, 7-7 Dallas and Washington.

ALL I WANT IS FOR DALLAS TO WIN

edit: fck my life in the ass.

Sorry Jade, but your Cowboys got their asses whooped by the Redskins. Kudos to the Skins for claiming the East Division. We now got the 6 teams on the NFC side for the playoffs:

Atlanta Falcons
San Francisco 49ers
Green Bay Packers
Washington Redskins
Seattle Seahawks
Minnesota Vikings

RG3's knee > Fiscal cliff

Sherman is a total douche though lol. Already won, but still rubbing it in. No wonder he got bopped in the face by Trent Williams.

I wanted to see Denver face the Colts badly, but Broncos vs the Ravens will still be interesting.

And what happened to RG3 is a textbook example why you should exclusively build your franchise around pure pocket passers! Running QBs = glass!

And I hate the Redskins so much that I hope the self-proclaimed "nation's capital" goes bankrupt! Everyone knows that New York City is the TRUE Nation's Capital!

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer a pure pocket passer then a running QB, but you can't blame the Redskins for taking RG3. Luck and RG3 were the two best options for them to draft, and since Luck was taken, they made the right choice.

Most QBs now are gonna end up being more balanced QBs then pure pocket passer anyways. To me, it seems like teams are more likely to overlook any flaws a QB's arm may have if he can make plays on his feet.
