Official Mortal Kombat (2011) Video Thread

YES! just because you don't find moves being repeated over and over and over again fun to watch, you automatically LOVE MvC3!

I wonder how you love something you have never played with....

ITS A MYSTERY!

Re: TylerLantern's new Kitana Combo Videos

Those combos doesn't scare, firstly because they can't be applied on a real fight.

Besides he's using infinite meter, so what's the point, nothing out the extraordinary.

Yes they can be applied in a real fight, but it requires 3 bars of meter to get the full 67% damage so it's not a bread and butter (but valuable to know nonetheless - both as a player using kitana [now you know a 67% combo off a jump in] and facing kitana [if kitana has 3 bars of meter, you don't want to let her anywhere near you!]).

In general, whenever you see a particular combo, identify the initial hit - that will provide some bases as to how practical that combo actually is [in this case it was a jump-in, which at this stage where everyone is still figuring out their characters moves, is very practical indeed]. Then consider meter (how many bars are used) and the character it was used on.

Don't get nit picky because it's being performed in training mode.

tl;dr don't hate; appreciate.

THTB just murdered with Reptile doing a bunch of Check combos, including corner combos. The commentators even mentioned this.

Here's a little short Reptile combo vid I made. Nothing special, mainly testing out my new capture card, but maybe some Reptile fans will like it. I hope to make more advanced/lengthy vids in the future.

Re: TylerLantern's new Kitana Combo Videos

I suggest you reread it, because it's not that hard to comprehend.

I did. It still don't see how this reinforces your point in any way.

You have to avoid those combos every time, they have to get those combos off once. They are hardly avoidable.

Are they fair game? Yes. Are they good? Yes. Do they make people want to play against you? No.

And eventually your going to run out of people to play against.

You still need the proper setup to pull off those combos. If you didn't see it coming, it's your fault. UMK3 has infinities and I don't hear too many people whine about them.

That's because almost everyone had infinites and they were hard to do on top of everything else. The game was so broken it was ironically balanced because of it lol.

Combos in this game are much easier to do than in UMK3. You needed a lot of skill to pull Kung Lao's infinite. Not to mention online made them almost impossible.

edit: Oh yeah, I started using Kano:

He's badass. I love his air cannonball lol.

This is a good question. I ended up using iMovie on my iPhone to edit clips. On a PC, no clue, Sony Vegas didn't work.

Made a video just now:

THIS IS NOT A DEMO GAME COMBO VIDEO!!!

I was practicing with Sub-Zero and came up with these combos. I did not find many Sub-Zero combo videos aside from the demo, so I'd like to share this one I made. The last combo gives 52% damage.

Sorry about the crappy recording quality.

Please tell me what you guys think about these combos.

Thanks! I'll try that, but can you upload to youtube once you're done??
Yes. Connect your iPod to your PC, go to windows explorer and find the iPod folder. One of the subfolders has a bunch of images from My Photos; you should find the video there.

Upload to youtube as usual.

Here's a video from Level Up that has really good MK, Street Fighter, and Tekken players fighting each other in a little tournament.
