Never said it would go into Deadly Alliance.
I just stated the obvious, which was that there's a good chance that MK10 will be the NEW MK4, with a "plot twist."

I too want everyone from MK9 back. I want human Sub-Zero back, but he might be an unlockable character. Although they will have to find a really good explanation for why Sub-Zero turns back human and Cyrax doesn't.

I could think of 1 way that Sub-Zero comes back human, and not Cyrax.


My hopeful scenario:

When Nightwolf kicked Noob Saibot into the Soulnado, his soul got divided.
This could make Bi-Han resurrect as human Sub-Zero, leaving Noob Saibot with the evil wraith spirit that Quan Chi put in him, when he turned him into Noob Saibot.

It could make Noob Saibot completely evil and seek to take over the NetherRealm.
Maybe by being released from the grasp of the evil wraith, Bi-Han realizes his faults and decides to join the EarthRealm warriors.

That's a really good prediction. That's acutally what I think too. I saw how Noob's evilness was going away;).

I think Liu Kang would come back into a burnt person:/. I really hope not. I mean, I don't see any other way he can come back. Everyone else, yes, I can. Not Liu Kang. Liu Kang was killed by Raiden's hand. The others were killed in the hand of Shao Kahn's minions in the invasion.


Same goes for Kung Lao. I don't think he'll be coming back along with Kang:/. He was killed in the tournment so that's fair.
 
I dont know the way mk has done its games mk9 mkak maybe it will be yet another remake of the trilogy

I hope not.

The ONLY remake that I would like to see is MK 1 with MK 9 graphics, for the 20 year anniversary.

Great Idea. I have thought about that too in the past. That way we could have human Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot, and Cyber Sub-Zero. Also, maybe Bi-Han and Scorpion will drop their hatred towards each other, and join forces against Quan Chi when they realize he was using both of them.

You all seem to be overlooking one VERY important fact; Nobody ever really dies in Mortal Kombat. That is a direct quote from John Vogel, by the way...and last time I checked, it is Vogel who writes the MK story (a role he took over following the departure of John Tobias), so if you think that the likes of Sindel, Shang Tsung, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Jax, Kitana, Jade, etc, are out of the question for MK10, you are sadly mistaken! Hell, Scorpion, arguably the foremost face of the MK franchise since its inception, has been dead since 2 years before the events of the first game, so what does that tell you about the finality of death in the Mortal Kombat franchise?

I'm aware of only one character who has been permanently killed off, and that is Hsu Hao.

as a joke ed boon should show kano killing Hsu hao and jarek for leaving the black dragon or something

If MK10 had the dead MK9 characters as unlockables throughout story mode, I wouldn't be pissed.

I'd be sad that they weren't in the story, but at the same time MK 10 should bring in some of those characters from MK 4 thru Deception, and improve them (like they did with the MK 1 thru UMK 3 characters).

I hated about 95% of those characters, but I can't see why NRS can't make them bad-ass, with this new direction that they're taking. ;-)
 
I think they should do a total departure.

MK4 explored the elder gods, but Raiden is the only regular god the games have featured prominently.

He is the guardian of Earthrealm. Presumably that means Edenia, the Netherrealm, Chaosrealm, etc. have guardians of their own.

Maybe the next MK should take place in heaven and be between various gods from different realms, and maybe a few select humans here and there.

I'd love to see something new and original. Earth and Outworld have kind of run their course in MK. Maybe they could go back to them for MK11, but I'd love to see something just completely unique to throw a monkey wrench in the entire franchise.
