No weapon based variation

He's not Filipino, he's Chinese.

Yeah. 'Louise Kangez' is as "Chinese" as RE6 Ada Wong is...!

Posting false and misleading information is frowned upon here. Care to show me proof that he was born in the Philippines and not Honan Province, China?

It just looks really odd to me but I cannot figure out why. I think maybe it's just the color they had chosen for it. I dunno, it's just an odd thing to see with Liu Kang.

I don't like how Liu Kang looks in this game. At all. Everything about him just doesn't look right. Though his face does look better than it did in MK9. His face paint is so stupid.

LOL,
i serious thought that his face paint bothered no one else. Glad to see that i was wrong.
:)

It would be cooler if it was exclusive to a skin and not a variation. Its cool but sometimes I wish I could just turn it off. Especially with the Revenant costume, just too much going on his face between that and his bright yellow veins.

If you don't want to play him, fine, then play any raiden variation.
I don't play as him -- he looks ridiculous and derivative. At least if he still LOOKED Chinese, I might respect the character. But the absurd way they've depicted the guy in this game has relegated him to joke status.

Even his Fatalities look non sequitur for the character type, even silly: mid-air splits? Throat-rip...? Come on, Mr. Ed...

The only thing I find Liu Kang to be in MKX is comic relief! That 'Drunken Master' -like, walk-on (read: stagger-on!) intro is absolutely hilarious; and his part in the Jason Vorhees ending is also a laugh-riot!

That was probably the most random thing I've ever seen out of the series. Maybe not as random than Jax having the ability to grow as a giant in Mortal Kombat 3, but up there.

I will say, Raiden should have had his staff in a variation. But then again, he didn't even have it as a weapon in the fourth, but he did have it in Deadly Alliance...

What is with his staff that is like the most important tool he has but only uses it when he wants to?

^ I'd argue lame-wad 'Louie The Fly' becoming Outworld emperor is more random than Jason Vorhees garotting said joke character with his own intestines is. The latter instance of randomness is at least funny!

That, and the only 'Outworld' Louise Kangez should rule is the one that revolves around 'beats', 'bears' and 'backrooms'!

He doesn't become ruler of Outworld though. XD
It's Netherrealm.

Dude, do you even MK?

its because it looks like the kind of tattoo an idiot rebellious teen obsessed with spiderman 2099 would get just for attention
