No weapon based variation

I loved the 'Impale' option in MKDA. I wonder if we'll ever see something like that again.
I could easily see it coming back in a variation for somebody. Not too much to ask for, seeing as Reptile has a variation that hurts you if you're near him.
The impale move was awesome. I wish we had an interactable that would do that in this game.
 
WOAH....Tanya has two weapon variations? That's very interesting. Makes me look forward to her release even more. I wasn't sure what direction they were going to go with her when it came to her variations. Hope they announce a release date for her already.

It's actually pissing me off how long they are taking for them to even say anything. Been looking forward to this character. Her model is done, her finishers are done. I am going to assume as any reasonable person would that her moves are done. What the shit is taking so long for JUST a release date? BS. Really.

Ninjutsu Scorpion, Cryomancer Subbie, Bone Shaper Shinnok, War God Kotal, Piercing Mileena etc etc...


Yeah, no weapon-based variations at all :|

I hated that impale move in Deadly Alliance because it virtually takes away one variation for you. I'd prefer having it where I don't lose an entire variation because my weapon is inside someone else.

I do like having where you can't perform some moves, but losing an entire variation? No thanks.

It was even worse in Kitana's case. If you used it at all, you were SOL with her weapon even it it missed or was blocked. Not only that, but it took away a Special Move from her for the remainder of the fight. I'm glad that was only a one game wonder.
