New Members Welcome Thread

Hello,

I'm technically not new here. I've been a member here for eight years. I wanted to make a new thread in order to settle a long-running debate in my mind once and for all, but because of that 15-post rule, I can't, so I'll have to post what I wanted to say here. If a mod or someone could make a new thread for me about it, that'd be great:

My Favorite Game, is Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
My Favorite MK Character, is Scorpion.

I'm very happy with these choices, but I need assurance that I'll STAY happy with them. Each person who replies to this post must give me 10 VERY good reasons why UMK3 should stay my Favorite Game, and why Scorpion should stay my Favorite MK Character...

Your post makes you sound like you're in a rocky relationship.

What you like is what you like, you don't need outside reinforcement to "justify" why this is so.

All right. It's not my fault though, it's my OCD.

I have plenty of ways to back up UMK3 and Scorpion being my Favorites. My weak point is being tempted to change them. That's the other reason I made my previous post, so I wouldn't be tempted to make the change...

If you need other people to put reasons in your mouth as to why you should consider something your 'favourite,' then chances are that be it MK, or Scorpion not you're favourite at all. There's no need to lie to yourself; you like what you like and nothing can change that. Or maybe, you're looking for validation... we can't tell you why something is your favourite thing. That's like me asking "Why do I have a thing for brunettes?" How are you supposed to know?

What you like is what you like. You don't have to force yourself to like something, and you don't have to know why you like something, either.

I am not going to help you figure out why you need to have Scorpion and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 be your favorites, and neither should anyone else. What you like and dislike is up to you, not have it fall into the hands of random people that don't know you. If you can't make up your mind as to why you like something, then that's fine. I love the song "Happy" and there's no reason I can give as to why that is. I just like it. You don't need to have a reason all the time to like or dislike something.

OK, you people are right. I shouldn't resort to this anymore. I can keep UMK3 and Scorpion my Favorites by myself.

Thanks for slapping some sense into me. I needed it...

My favorite since the first day I ever played MK was Raiden. I will love him forever <3 No one could ever make me change my answer.

My favorite MK has always been Trilogy.

Hello everyone. My name is Brian White. I am a huge fan of PlayStation . I have been a PlayStation fan since I was a little kid, and I have lots of fun with it. I have met a lot of good people on PlayStation Home, and many Home members are really nice people. I am a college student. I go to South University, and also College of Southern Nevada (CSN). My hobbies are: playing videogames, watch TV, play with my PC, listen to music, surf the Internet, spending time with friends, family, and girlfriend, PlayStation Home, working out, shopping, and drawing. I have been diagnosed with Autism, but to be more specific, Asperger’s Syndrome since the age of two. I have graduated from SECTA (Southeast Career Technical Academy) in 2009 with an advanced diploma and honors recognition. After I graduate at CSN with an associate’s degree, I really want to go to another college where I can study videogame designing/developing to achieve my dreams as game developer, but because of my disability, I have struggled to reach my goals, and to make my dreams come true as a videogame developer. I work very hard to achieve my goals in college and in my personal life. My mom has always encouraged me to work hard to achieve my dreams and not allow anyone to interfere with my dreams regardless of how difficult it may be and/or what types of disabilities you may have. I also learn that there are goals in life that people need to achieve in order to be successful. People need to work hard in order to attain great success that can help them in the near future. I also believe that parents should encourage their kids to study hard in order to succeed in life, and make further advances in the near future in order to better themselves. My only activity at the moment is to study very hard. I spend most of the time in my graphic classroom, or at the writing center to make sure my papers are corrected and have no errors. Due to my disability, it’s not easy to make friends and communicate with other people. People always make fun of me because of my disability, and sometimes they do not accept me for who I am, and ignore me. That causes me to be lonely, sad, & depressed and forces me to withdraw from others. I do have some friends that accept me for who I am and for those I am very thankful. I have met a lot of good people that will help me reach my goals. I have a major in 3D Animation, and minor in theatre. I love using 3DS Max and Photoshop. I am also interested in Theatre, because this can help learn how to act and understand different character personalities that can help me in the future and improve my social skills. Also, again, my goals are to finish college and achieve my dream as a game developer in order to achieve my goals.

Hey all, new time user, long time MK fan and MK Kommunity member. Have been, at one time or another, been a regular for numerous MK forums, Kamidogu, TMK etc, but first time here. I'm 24 years old and have been an MK fan as long as I've been old enought to hold a controller in my hand. Ironically, I'm not much of a fan of fighters as a genre, but instead was drawn to MK for it's story and characters, and even now, Mortal Kombat is one of my favourite video game stories. When movie stars, the undead, ninjas, cyborgs, outworldly warlords, sorcerers, lizard people, cops, criminals and demons all coherently fit in the same story, it says alot about the quality of the writing. Why, given Warners ownership of both the franchise and DC, a Mortal Kombat series of comics hasn't been made yet, is well beyond me. Hopefully people can see this message as I tried to contribute to a topic over a day ago, but all I got was a "must be approved by a moderator" message and my contribution to said topic still isn't apparent.

I have quite a bit in common with NidallVanes. Im a new user here, howeve, I used to frequent Kamidogu. Ive also been gaming since I was a child. One of my first games was MK3 on the SNES. Another thing I have in common with NV is that I dont generally like fighting games either. MK is the only one I can reallybplay and get into. I love the characters, setting, and the lore of the franchise. I guess Ill tell you a bit about my MK favorites now!

Games: MK9, MK3, MKD
Characters: Kabal, Stryker, Reptile, Havik
Stages: Soul Chamber, Living Forest

I'm not new, but I don't expect anyone to remember me. I signed up around the time MK9 was being released but I haven't been around the site since awhile after I stopped playing the game with a few of the older members. But regardless figured I may as well reintroduce myself. Names Khristianity, but I go by Raijin these days. Probably going to be hanging around here for a good amount of time again. So what's good TRMK?!

"Raijin?" Why do I feel like I know that name? Haven't you been here under that name before?

No, I didn't start using that name until I started playing Halo 4 competitively which was in 2013 and I didn't use this forum at all then.

I remember both of you as well actually! Thanks for the welcome. You don't have to call me Raijin btw guys, that's just the name I use with my Xbox LIVE account and my musical persona.
