New characters for the next game.

Does this female character have potential in MK?

I like her. She's a type of viking sorceress, but she doesn't look tough. She looks rather sad, feminist. It's just what MK needs after the steroid disasters called Sonya and Cassie Cage.

Mavado would have been a cool character had people not whine over the fact that he had hookswords. But, God forbid that another character uses something from another character. No one whined that badly about Li Mei using sais.

Even if his nonsensical and bland costume was revamped, I wouldn't want to see the return of someone who pinged himself around with elastic bands. That was silly even for Mortal Kombat. One piece of shoulder armour strapped to a leather trenchcoat? Wtf was that about?

Ok
Character Name: Lava (Not sure about the name but meh..)
Special Skills: He's made of Lava and he can throw Lava on others.
Fatality: I can imagine that he can make the ground all Lava and take all the Lava onto the enemy's hands and legs and then the Lava will dry and the enemy will get stucked on the wall or something and then he can set him on fire.

She looks awfully like a green-haired Red Sonja, but there’s nothing wrong with that. An Amazon/ female Barbarian inspired by her could be a nice addition to the cast. The outfit, however, is ridiculous. She looks more like a stripper than a warrior.

Or is she supposed to be a stripper who cosplays as barbarian? Because that would be a really cool character concept.:_cool:

I didn't think that was a silly move to have at all. I would like to see more ways to evade your opponent that doesn't involve teleporting to the other side of the screen. I mean, how many characters in X alone teleports? Quan Chi, Tanya, Scorpion, Kung Lao, Mileena...

And you're going to question at Mavado's strange choice of armor when we have a bunch of other characters that have a way worse style chosen for them to wear? Tsk, tsk.

I agree! I like Mavado too! Him being revamped would've been a breathe of fresh air, more Post mk3 characters is always good.

Dunno.
That grapple thing that Mavado had came off as pretty silly, to me.
It reminded me of the 1989 Batmobile, which fired the grappling hook to get around a tight corner, except on Mavado that similar type of thing looked a bit weird (to me).

I know that character's name, it's Tremor.

I'm sure they could redo his grappling hook to make it less cartoony. I've just thought it was a unique looking move back then. Even his fatality, despite it came off a bit goofy, was a neat concept to use more of his hooks.

Honestly, he wasn't that bad of a character. But because he had one thing that made him seem goofy, he's discarded as well as a bunch of characters.

Bloodrayne is extinct, thanks to Uwe Boll.

His movies made me stop playing the series for good. I can't play any of the games without thinking of that abomination.

Because I don't think it is needed. MK11's plot is likely going to be even more complex than MKX's. With more plot and diverse characters, having too many would result in the story mode being utter chaos. We were close to that in MKX. I don't want them to repeat the same mistake. I want all characters to get equal space for contribution. In MKX it felt like some characters were there just for the sake of it, others were held back because of not enough time, some got average screen time and some were overexposed at the rest's expense. I want every MK11 character to have a meaning and reason why he's there in the first place. If they add again a bunch (8+) of newbies, can you imagine them doing all of the characters justice? I can't. You want the new guys to shine, old new guys to shine, obsolete classics to shine, newer classics to shine, bad guys to shine and all of it to make sense. 4 brand new characters is plenty as long as they are unique and different from each other.

It's impossible for every character to receive shine. It's maybe tough to accept, but some characters are just simply there/cannon fodder. The story for MKX in my opinion was overall good. The heroes were Cassie, Jacqui, Takeda, and Kung Jin. Everyone else were just supporting characters (Sonya, Johnny, Jax) or villains for defeating (Kano, Erron Black, Kotal Kahn). The only villains that received a chapter were Kotal Kahn and D'Vorah. Imagine if Reptile, Quan Chi, or Erron Black were given a chapter. Don't you think that would been a bad thing for the protagonist(s). Imagine Quan Chi defeating Jacqui and not killing her afterwards? Hell imagine Kano not getting his hands on Cassie and not torturing her? If Neatherealm Studios were to give the villains chapters in the next game. They would either had to be fighting against other villains or loss against the heroes in a cinematic cutscene. Mortal Kombat like most games follows the hero defeats villain story telling. So for anyone wanting every single playable character to have a chapter is asking for too much and being very unrealistic. Course that is just my opinion. Besides if you want to learn more about said character. Simply beat the Arcade Tower with said character. I also hope MK11 brings back the Kombat Kard Bio for all playable characters. That also gave more insight about the character's reasons's for existing. I just don't agree with all characters receiving a chapter

Every character should have a chapter. I'm tired of seeing characters be brought into the story and literally serve no purpose. Get rid of Reptile and what effect would that have on the story? Nothing. And he's such a great character, why shouldn't he have a chapter of his own? It's really disappointing to see cool characters not get a chapter. I was really hoping Ferra/Torr would have a chapter, but did we? No. Did they have any real effect onto the story? Not really.

It's not asking too much nor is it unrealistic. They CAN put NPCs into the game for the villains to fight against if they don't necessary want to have the heroes get defeated by them. I mean, look at all the NPCs that the tower had during 2011. They could easily create a character and give them abilities from another character or something to use as a punching bag for the villains to have.

How could she be darker then to fit MK?

Creating npc for the villains to fight is a good idea.

Nope. The best Red Dragon is still alive: Daegon.

There's no such thing as a "best Red Dragon", they are all lame and generic and should never return.

I'm not expressing an opinion, this is the truth, as true as the sky is blue.
