Mr. Boon will be @ E3!

The Horror Pack skins are my favourite of the DLC ones, so if they did another pack like that for some other characters then I'd definitely be interested. Not the actual character, though. :p

And the funny thing is that some of the same people wishing for a second Kombat Pack are the same people who've complained about Microtransactions.

How does supporting DLC characters = supporting micro-transactions (like Easy Fatalities and $20 to unlock the Krypt) which derive from the whole pay-to-win mentality?
How do you jump to that conclusion?

I sure as hell didn't want "Easy Fatalities" or the ability to unlock the Krypt for $20, as I think it cheapens the whole experience, but I sure as hell would buy a 2nd Kombat Pack if the right characters interested me enough (like Fujin, Reiko, Havik or Bo Rai Cho).

Why pay to unlock the Krypt without elbow grease when you can instead buy a case of beer with that money and drink it while you navigate the Krypt just like old times?

"Easy Fatalities" would be fine if they are done through cheat codes. MKT and MK4 had one button fatalities cheats from what I can remember. Micro-transactions work if they are free to play games, not full retail games. Video game companies now are so god damn greedy compare to the 70's, 80's, 90's and early-mid 2000's. Once the 360 and PS3 got released, things started to get worst over time.

That's why we have microtransactions in video games these days because companies saw how much money free to play games made on phones and PCs that there lust for money grew 100X more. We never had this issue in the past. Imagine if games like Kingdom Hearts had microtransactions for keyblades and spells back in 2002 or the past MK games had microtransactions. It would be a nightmare. This is why I hate microtransactions.

Because people are so impatient these days. And they don't like having fun

I quite like the idea of Easy Fatalities as something you can unlock in the Krypt by spending coins, and actually I'd rather like an Easy Brutalities type of thing if it were possible to implement (given that they're much harder to pull off).

But having them as paid DLC? No, obviously. I'm also very curious as to what sort of people had been sending NRS all these requests they apparently had, if this was indeed one of their most-requested features (as claimed).

It'd be nice to see another spin-off Mortal Kombat game.
Remember during the PS2 era, just after Shaolin Monks, when Midway announced there'd be a spin-off MK game every other year? Man, those were the days.

WB could even outsource a spin-off to another studio (one that's not named "High Voltage", please), while NRS work on Injustice II or whatever they have coming next.

Injustice should be outsourced to Rocksteady . MK is NRS's flagship product, and therefore MK should take perpetual priority at NRS for that reason alone. 4 years is far too long to wait.

A studio can have more than 1 main game that it works on, and like it or not Injustice is 1 of their games now.

Anyhow, 4 years is a decent time to wait to make sure that it isn't a rush-job.
If I've waited 7 years for Metal Gear Solid V and will have waited 3½ years for Dishonored 2 to come out (Spring 2016), 4 years for a new MK to come out is no big deal to me.

You don't put your flagship product on the back burner, PERIOD. NRS's own logo makes it CLEAR what their flagship product is.

It's not putting it on the back-burner.
It's giving MKX some room to breathe and be enjoyed for a while, rather than going the Assassin's Creed route where it gets burned out fast because the games come out too often.
An Injustice game in-between releases isn't that big of an issue, imo.

I don't want a Mortal Kombat game coming out every single year like Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty. I want them to take their sweet, sweet time making this game so that I can appreciate the crap out of it when I get to play it. Otherwise, it'll feel like another Armageddon. It'll be so rushed, so sloppy, so unplayable. I don't want that. Let them develop a different game while Mortal Kombat takes a breather. And having it take a breather is definitely not a bad thing. It's making sure that fans still appreciate the game instead of ignoring it because there so happens to be another Mortal Kombat game getting released around the corner.

Like honestly, ever since Black Ops 3 got announced, Advance Warfare, to me, doesn't seem that interesting to play anymore because I want to know what we're getting with the new game. And I'm sure I'd feel the same way if I was an Assassin's Creed fan, but I'm not because I don't like the series.

Well every year it will feel rushed but 4 years is too long also. I think 2 years is just perfect

Assassin's Creed is Ubisoft's flagship product.
Madden is EA's flagship product.
Mario is Nintendo's flagship product.

I just want MK to be treated like a flagship product, and a 4 year wait is contrary to how a flagship product is supposed to be treated.

And lots of people are sick and tired of those yearly AC updates.
Sure, there are plenty who get every single AC game, but there are just as many who got tired of it and burned out.
Madden gets released every year because "Herp derp, roster changes and the draft."
Super Mario sells every year because little children love repitition.

The last AC games that I played were the Ezio Trilogy (II, Revalations and Brotherhood).
After that it got boring and stale fast with yearly releases, and it became difficult to catch up, so I said "f*** it" and didn't bother with it anymore.
The last Madden that I cared for was 2004 or 2005.
I don't get Madden anymore because year after year it feels like the same game with a new year slapped on it.
Mario has become more stale to me than flat soda.

If you do yearly releases with MK, you risk losing casuals, and MK can't thrive ONLY on its hardcore fans.
