On second thought... I think I'll probably just get Kombat Pack 2 or just buy individual characters and costumes instead. Then when NRS is finished with the MKX as evidence of Injustice 2, I will get a KOMPLETE EDITION. I really can't trust that MKXL is a final product because there are still pre-orders of Cosplay Costumes. That $59.99 threw me off.

So you'll get the Komplete (XL) Edition around April / May?
I'm pretty sure that after Triborg, Leatherface, Bo Rai Cho, and Alien come out there won't be any more DLC characters.
At this point, I'd be shocked if there was.
I have a feeling that MKXL will be the end of it, then in June we'll get an Injustice 2 announcement.

Regardless of whether it says "cosplay" or not, the opinion as to whether or not it's a middle finger to those fans is based on an individual opinionated basis.
Boon may or may not have meant it as such, but he's also not going to outright say "Yes, fvck those fans."
His inclusion of Friendships in MKII was his subtle way of giving the middle finger to parents and critics that said that MK1 was "too violent," so I wouldn't be surprised if this was something similar.
Boon is known for being sarcastic and a troll, so to me, it comes off as being such.
If it doesn't for you, then that's how you perceive it.

I'm again lost at words with you because I still feel that you're taking things WAY too far here and you shouldn't. You're the only person on this site so far that's saying that this is a big fvck you to anyone who wanted Frost in the game. There's Frost fans on this site and I have yet to see one person agree with you here. This is as ridiculous as you having an issue with Boon's joke comment on Cassie's Selfie Fatality with him asking, "Has anyone unlocked Fujin?" I find it hilarious though that both problems includes Cassie.

Yeah, Boon is known to troll people. He's the kind of guy that doesn't outright tell people things that people constantly pester him about. But just because he's known to be a troll on Twitter, he isn't striking me in how he and the team dealt with the soccer moms complaining that the game is too violent. You really think this is Friendships all over again?

If you think this is giving Frost fans the middle finger, then Jade and Skarlet fans should be included in as well since there's a red costume and a green costume.

The costume is labeled as "Cosplay" where it has Cassie decked out as Sub-Zero's classic skin. The color blue isn't even the same blue that Frost wears, which is practically the same outfit as Sub-Zero's primary outfit. I mean, if you want to be the only one here that thinks that this is a dick move, I guess then be that lone ranger. Everyone else is pretty much looking at it either as a dumb waste of a skin or doesn't have a problem with it. You however, think this is another dick move by Boon because he's already treated you Fujin fans with "disrespect" although I don't see it.

I just find the Cosplay alternates lazy AF. Scorpion and Sub-Zero already have tons of costumes, do they need to throw in nods to them now as well? Why do they always limit creativity by giving two characters the most love. I get it they're the most popular, but it does become a bit monotonous. I'd have much preferred something like a Raiden / Shao Kahn cosplay. The fact they've already introduced klassic costumes, to now add them onto Cassie and Jacqui seems cheap. Just seems like a poor excuse to grab a few extra dollars without really pushing the boat out

It's not the point of "not needing MKXL" that has me annoyed about the preorder skins for MKXL...it's that the entire reason for a complete edition (IMO) is to provide a failsafe in case ten years from now I want to play a game and the servers are no longer up for it...and all the DLC I had is now gone.

Or being able to use EVERYTHING in an offline environment. Seems like MKXL having preorder exclusive data counteracts that basic premise of most any "complete" version of a game that exists.

I want to buy the XL mainly so I can take it on the go and not worry about which profile I'm on, or bring it to a friend's house who may not have MK. Even if it's just a few skins, just rubs me the wrong way.

I cannot and will not see a developer being that rude to their fans. You all might think that they are with Fujin, but I just don't see them doing that.

Just saying, by now you should expect that once you throw your opinion out in the open, expect for harsh-like critiques. I get the feeling that you don't want to because two of your issues were picked out and critiqued harshly.

Having differing opinions is fine, but I've respected yours and I'm not here putting down your opinion because I don't agree with it.
Whether or not these thing have a deeper meaning is unknown, but I sure as hell know that I'm not the only 1 here who was bummed out by Fujin not showing up after Ed Boon's asshole trolling.

On the MK facebook page and on the YouTube comments as well there are people who feel that the "female Lin Kuei" "cosplay" costume IS a slap in the face to Frost fans.

I'm not overlooking anything.
TRMK isn't the end-all-be-all of MK fans.
I'm telling you based off of what I have seen on various non-TRMK related gaming sites and around the web, and more of the reaction to the female costumes around the web has been "Wtf, Sub-Zero and Scorpion costumes for Cassie and Jacqui" and "Why is Cassie wearing a costume similar to Frost."
I know that it's a generic Lin Kuei, but as I predicted, some people are taking those female costumes the wrong way and expressing anger over it.

I felt that you are simply overlooking at something that doesn't need to be overlooked. You are the only person ON THIS SITE that is saying that Cassie's Sub-Zero cosplay outfit is a slap to Frost fans. There are multiple Frost fans on this site, you are talking to one who wants this character in a game as badly as those who want Fujin in. I have yet to see any other Frost fan come onto this thread and agree with you. And that is all that I have been saying.

Yeah, I compared this issue to your other issue that you have about Fujin and called it "ridiculous", but that's because in my opinion, it is. Both issues you have, you're looking at something and think there's a deeper meaning to it. Thinking that there's some secret message that you're decoding and finding the answer to be that these are all a big "fvck you" from Boon and the developers.

I'm not sugarcoating what I have to say just to make light on a discussion. I've never done that before, I'm not starting now. Using the word "ridiculous" is the word I wanted to choose because I felt your argument about these skins is ridiculous as your last complaint we debated about.

My intentions with this debate/discussion isn't trying to insult you. But again, I'm not going to sugarcoat my words because some might find my wording to be insulting. Yes, you're not the only person on this site or other sites that is upset that Fujin wasn't in the game. That dumb little letter that got tossed around on these forums is a prime example of how one is bummed that Fujin isn't in the game.

This is exactly why I refuse to take anything seriously with people who just state stuff on Facebook pages and Youtube videos. They don't dive into details and such.

Above are Cassie's Sub-Zero costume and Frost. See how neither of the two looks like each other? Sure there are some similarities, and by similarities I mean two. TWO. Such as the black under armor doesn't cover their arms, and they have wrist bands that are the same length. But everything else... no. Not even the shade of blue matches. Their skin is a different color. The mask. It's different.

When I looked at Cassie's Sub-Zero costume for the first time, not a single nerve stuck me thinking that this is supposed to represent Frost for X. Not once. How people are saying that is it, and by people I mean you and that one guy on the Tether's page, I don't get it. I'm looking at these pictures long and hard and I still don't see how this is supposed to be a slap to the face to me.

Maybe it's because I'm not looking hard enough? I don't see what you're seeing, I really, really don't. That is all what I've been trying to get out of this discussion that you think is suddenly insulting.

Again, you're the only person ON THIS SITE that has a huge problem with these costumes because you're stating that there's another meaning behind them. The only complaints I've seen on this site with these costumes is that many think this is a lazily-created skin that could have been something else. That is it. At this point, I don't care what other people off of this site think because I am strictly talking to you and you alone. If I want to talk with those people, I will do so myself and ask them, but I am simply talking to you. You keep thinking that there's a meaning behind these costumes that I cannot see. I don't see another person on this site expressing anger over the costumes. The only anger I see is how the PC players are being left out and that is it. Other than that, it's just you saying these costumes are a slap to the face to Frost fans. That's it.

With all these 25 people asking for Frost in MKX, im starting to think it was a bad idea to put SubZero over frost omg.
The next MK should leave SubZero out and just put frost in for all 25 fans, also make sure to give her 690 different costumes so every1 is happy.

Anyway I wasnt going to buy Alien & Leatherballs but now I'll have to if I want to be playing my Triborg at the day of release. 19,99$ isnt too bad imho.
