No, it is still Kitana. Rain's father was the god protector of Edenia. He was never on the throne, he didn't rule the realm, that would be King Jerrod and Queen Sindel, Kitana's parents.
 
I'd love to see MK11 really explore the realms, with different players and factions allying with Orderrealm, Chaosrealm, and Netherrealm in a bid to help/prevent Edenia from becoming its own realm again.

I would LOVE to have a very extensive and expansive Mortal Kombat action/adventure/RPG where we explore the various realms and the lore behind each of them.

BTW, I was confused by this quote from MKA: "I am no friend of yours. I am Rain, a prince of Edenia".

I had forgotten he was a demi-god. Half god, half edenian.

I do like his arrogance and that he truly believes that he deserves the throne though.

Well I'm confirmed...

Confirmation is a catholic sacrament, you usually get confirmed at the age of 10.

First is baptism at age 1 aprox, communion at age 9 aprox. and confirmation at age 10 aprox.

He was just messing with that guy.

Yep. A mix between Shaolin Monks and MKD Konquest will be nice. Thought i prefer someone else to Shujinko or Liu/Lao.

I think that a game that puts both Sub-Zeros in different roles has enough to be the most incredible MK.

I know they appeared on MK9, but that role for Bi-Han was just be kicked.

Now I expect and bet they will have an important one.

So excited to see them.

It's a 2-hour story, man. There's not gonna be a lot of focus for anything besides the main plot. I expect peripheral single character-based stuff to be glossed over.

For example, Sub-Zero taking back the Lin Kuei: I expect he'll pop up and it'll simply be mentioned in passing, but the player won't directly experience the events. (But the comic will show it, because that's what the comic is for - filling in the gaps).

Just my speculation.
