I know, but it is still their game. They should promote all announced versions, ideally equally, not just 1 (and a half) out of 5. How do they expect to make a profit if people won't know what they're buying? If they don't show those versions or if they cancel them, someone could file a lawsuit against NRS/WB for false advertising. They should at least comment the progress and how they will differ.
Not getting a single screenshot since announcement... not a good sign. Either they cancel them or they will suck - in which case I'm returning my copy and pirating it for PC.

It will definitely be a mess. Pretty much everything is going to be downgraded or completely removed just to keep the game running at a steady framerate.

How do they expect to make a profit? Umm between the PS4 and X1 they have already sold about 30 Million consoles worldwide. Along with PC, they aren't going to have any trouble turning a profit.
Last gen versions are a after thought at best.

I hope it's only on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. I don't see any point of it being on the PS3 and 360. We didn't have MKDA on the PS1 & N64 and MKvsDCU on the PS2 and Xbox. Time to move on to next gen guys.

I feel the opposite. I want it to be on last gen as well, so most people as possible can play it without being forced to get an entire new console.

I'm seeking the white PS4, it's the most beautiful design i've ever seen. The problem is that here in Brazil the PS4 (or any new consoles) are very expensive. PS4 is costing around R$3500 (reais). In dollars that would be around $1400 (dollars).

Wrong logic. MKDA used a new engine compared to MK4 and so did MKvsDC use a new engine compared to MKA. MKX is same engine as MK9 and MKvsDC. No excuse for canceling/crappy result.

As for not promoting the other versions... marketing at its worst. You simply do not announce something and then pretend you never have in the first place. If you can't deliver just admit it. This really is false advertising (so far) and WB should be fined for this crap. I'd fire their PR department in an instant.

At most I could see a TV commercial with the PS3, PS4, 360 and Xbox One logos at the end.
The last-gen versions are being outsourced to anothe company to port it, anyways.
I'm getting it on PS4, but I don't see how another company doing the ports and more people playing the game = a bad thing.
It's more sales for NRS, across platforms, which means more money for NRS to make more games in the future.

I'm with you on this but the latest part. Please don't even mention piracy.
I was a MK fanatic as a kid but I have never owned a console. So my MK games were over after MK4 - or so I thought. 15 years passed by and the magic happened: MKKE was announced and my childhood memories draw me back in an instant. So I made the conscious decision to buy MKKE and Injustice to show support and back up NRS in their efforts to bring their games to PC as well. For MKX they have considered PC as a platform right from the start. So I don't want them to fail and then ignore PC gamers again.
On the first part though: they said their games sold well for PC, even above the expectations. I, as customer who payed for those games, would have expected more infos on my chosen platform. I tweeted Ed Boon, Tyler Lansdown, even Derek Kirtzic and Shaun Himmerick with various questions from time to time. I wasn't insulting or demanding once, I intended to be polite and respectful and I have never got an answer from neither of them. I can accept that and it's possible that they didn't notice half of my messages (especially Ed with his flooded account) but it's still disappointing to not even know if MKX for PC is a port or not and if it is, who'll handle it. I have never read anywhere that High Voltage Software officially involved with MKX.
And MKX PC is listed for release on 4/14/2015 as well. And it is since September 2014. So if they let us in the dark for four months, they shouldn't expect anything but fury and disappointment if they announce a delay for PC in the last minute. No matter what, I want to support NRS as I have a lot of fun with their games and I'm excited for MKX because everything from the 3D era will be new for me as much as Cassie and co. but that doesn't mean that I'm 100% pleased with everything they throw at us or hold back from us.

It's not a bad thing. NRS made the right move by giving the last gen port to another team. All I'm saying is don't expect any form of advertisement for the last gen verisons other than "yeah, we're also releasing it on the ps3 and 360".
