Mortal Kombat Netcode Discussion Thread (Bad news)

while the opinion of a couple of people may be their own and wrong, I do believe their netcode will stink too. people complained in their previous games and I don't see them making any major changes this time around. what's worse is that we were offered less content when it comes to fighters and stages just so they can promote their BS factions thing which I will once again say, will also stink and people will forget about it after playing for a month, tops
 
I stopped caring for and paying attention to what Max says when he started posting nothing but clickbait videos on his Youtube channel. it used to be a great place to get info on KI.. then he had to be greedy. Now all his videos are just useless drivel to get views

As a matter of fact, everyone I asked prior to today has said it was absolutely lagless and a huge improvement over MK9 and Injustice.

If it turns on to be true then I'm unsubbing this Maximilian guy on Youtube. I have a feeling he's just a Street Fighter fanboy.

Max is far from just a SF fanboy.
 
Did they ever fix the netcode on MK9? That is actually what caused me to stop playing after a month, which was disappointing because I liked the game otherwise.

If the netcode sucks on MKX I doubt they will release a patch substantial enough to completely fix it.

Actually, no. What in fact caused you to stop playing after a month was the game's underlying shallow nature. I only still have MK9 installed because of the mods that it runs with. I traded the hard copy after about the same time you abandoned it... and I imported mine!

No 90's era fighter had online functionality, yet many are still played today and some are in fact yardsticks for how to make a good fighter. Online has little to do with the longevity of a fighting games -- their gameplay is the determining factor.
 
max is playing ps4 version now.
and it also is so laggy its unplayable and thats with local connection

Can I ask you a legit question? Since you've been crapping on everything MKX lately and MK in general, why are you here? I have yet to see you post anything positive, it's always some sort of negative crap. So if you hate everything MK so much, why don't you just leave and go to a board/site of a game you enjoy? Typical diversional, defeatist response when one does not want to address the issue at hand -- "Why don't you just go away?! WHAAAAAA!". If I had a Vietnamese Dong (it's their currency!) for each time I heard similar responses when people found certain facts pertaining to their particular fawned-upon objects of lust disagreeable, I could buy the MK license myself and develop a game to truly realise the source material's potential! >hackneyed

Last time I checked, 'TRMK' did not stand for 'Tongue-Rimming Mortal Kombat'. If no one raises any concerns then the game has exactly zero chance of being improved. NRS are clearly only interested in how much content they can strip from the game and DLC profiteer from, so it's only people here and in such communities that can make a difference to the core product. That, and take a look around -- I'm hardly the only one being critical of aspects of the game. I didn't even start this thread! :laugh:
 
I played injustice on PS4 with a friend who lives in Chicago (I'm near Los Angeles) and we had no problems at all so it's surprising that MKX has supposedly taken a hit on stability.
 
I don't think it's as bad as people are saying that it is. Plus, Max is used to Killer Instinct's netcode. which is really damn good. If it's at least as good as Injustice, I'll be happy.
 
I tried getting in some online matches yesterday, didnt let me connect on PS4 iv got monster internet connection and normally dont lag very often, so gotto wait and see how good the ps4 servers are when it launches, if we could only get something else then shitty servers, we gotto make ourselfs heard on Ed's twitter and tell them to do something about it, im planning getting competitive in online on MKX this could be pretty bad lol, but not giving up hope yet!

Anyone can win the lottery. However, most never do.
 
The net code sucks. It's better but still sucks. Keep dropping a sub zero combo that involves run cancel online.

I really had no problem playing on PS4 yesterday. The first match was pretty laggy and the 5 or 6 after felt just fine. No disconnects or anything.

OMG DUDE I JUST pLAYED ONLINE and it was awesome!!!! Almost no delay at all HOLY SHIT!!!! Imho if you are lagging online girls get better internet connection because I have noticed the button delay online is so much better than MK 9 and even better than in IGAU if it stays like this online gets a fat 9.5/10 from me

I Play PS4 though
