i think Mortal Kombat in general is just a hard movie to make.

How over the top and chaotic the fighting is from the games. is very hard to translate into a movie.

Then you gotta cast like 25+ people who have atleast somewhat good acting skills and someone that they can get that looks similar enough to the characters from the game.

I mean would you rather have a guy that looks like Quan chi but has shitty acting? or take a semi crappy looking quan chi with believable acting.


For instance... The people that Nasty_Freak posted for the females, they all "LOOK" like they could be them. But I know damn well they are those high maintenance type girls that don't want to break a finger nail and they'd probably look TERRIBLE choreographing fights.

Good topic. I know Kelly Hu would do her stunts well and also Natassia Malthe. Dania Ramirez would do alright considering her role as Callisto in X-Men: The Last Stand. However, for someone like Nicole Scherzinger, I would totally agree with you.

With some, it's really all a matter of altering the fabric of the costumes. Take this update to Kitana's costume for instance:

I love that Kitana was announced, and I love this altered version of Kitana's primary! I want to see actual action scenes and not some animation. That did not sit well with me at all, especially in the episode with my favorite character! Give me action!!

I agree, there should be more action. I would have to disagree though with the fact that they use more of the kostumes without the mask for Kitana and Mileena. I don't really care what there kostume really looks like, just as long as they have the mask.

Oh No its going canon Mostly up to the deception timeline, After that the Armageddon Arc will have the basis of the story told differently of how it will end.

Basically MKD will be broken up in Arcs With 4 Main Arcs and sub Arcs in between kind of like filler you can say that may carry back stories of characters you haven't seen in the games, all your canon Characters will take part in the story, while New non Canon Characters will be introduced and play a role if any somewhere in the story.

The Shang Tsung Arc (The Tournament Arc)
The Shao Khan Arc (Merging Realms Arc)
The Shinnok Arc (The Fallen God Arc)
The Onaga Arc (The Return of the Demon King Arc)

Thats basically the Outline of the Whole MK Storyline but there are also Sub Arcs though i dont want to spoil alot of them but ill let you know that one is the Story of Hanzo Hasashi, you know him as Scorpion and his rise to the Top of the Shirai Ryu

And much much more though...It should catch your interest if you ever wanted to see MK in a long Series unlike Defenders of the Realm -___-
