Even so, here is my best take. I don't wanna be "heh maybe yes, maybe not" so I will be decisive.

Rain is pretty likely, but not sure. I think he is a safe bet to say, that he will be included in the game. But most likely as a DLC (NRS might have said that they won't repeat DLC, but I don't think WB gives two shits what NRS says.). Still has a decent chance to skip this game as well, as they are trying to introduce more characters. Even so I am betting on YES (he will appear).

Smoke... to be honest wouldn't be surprised if he was at best an NPC. NRS excuse would be "he was in MKX already as a variation". If he doesn't make the base roster, it is safe to assume he won't be making as DLC either (the 2 time rule might play here as well). I say NO to this one.

Noob. Pretty high chance to appear judging by how story is flowing. Past and present colliding. Good opportunity for Kuai Liang to meet Bi Han once again. Certain intro between Bo Rai Cho and Sub Zero in MKX, brought him up as well. So there could be a possibility of Kronika using Noob to deal with Sub Zero's side. Maybe even his clan. I suspect, Kronika might even recruit some people to her cause. Promising them power or some shit. I say YES to this one.

Fujin. Ok. From business point of view, this would make no sense, if they made him skip this game. Jade is popular? Pssh. Fujin at this point is a community's favorite. But I am still not sure if he will appear on base roster or DLC. DLC makes more sense, as they know that there is demand for him. So by ancient rules of supply and demand, Fujin should be a DLC character. Also storywise, I don't see him doing much (judging by how story looks so far). I say YES to this one.

As for Havik. Eeeeeeeh... low chances. I would like to see him in action, but story wise he doesn't make much sense (again judging by this story, as for me he would be perfect, as war = chaos. Havik should be actually sitting on the frontlines and enjoying the view.) So I am calling it no. I say NO.

I will most likely lose my shit, if I will guess all or at least most of them right. Cause that means, judging by my guesses and certain leaks I saw in reddit... I will be flipping my table in disappointment, once I will Frost.

I agree with you about Rain - currently I think he has decent chances for being on the base roster, but I don't believe he'll be DLC again. Whatever other shit Boon comes out with, I do actually believe him when he talks about not re-doing DLC characters.

Smoke I am less sure about. I think it's equally likely he could be base roster, DLC (human form) or not in at all.

Noob will be base roster. I think there are just too many hints he'll be in, and I think he's someone NRS will make a big deal of. (Likewise for Shang Tsung, if he's in).

Fujin - no. I don't think NRS know what to do with him, and they don't seem to like him as a character, regardless of his popularity and the fact it makes no sense him being AWOL when Dark Raiden is around. Logically he should be the leader of the good guys, yet in MKX he just disappeared off-screen. Weird.

Havik - no. He'd be an amazing DLC character (I don't think anyone really thinks he should necessarily be base roster - he won't be relevant to the plot) but again I don't think NRS like him or would know what to do with him.

I seriously hope I am proven wrong with Fujin and Havik, but so far there's nothing to suggest NRS are going to break the habit of a lifetime.
 
When did Ed ever say they'll never repeat DLC? I was always under the impression they didn't want to repeat DLC characters two games in a row.

Rain is on one of the menu icons, I really don't see how anybody can think he isn't going to be base roster.

No reason to get personal on a discussion thread just because I have a different opinion on this male-female-debate. If you think you can take out McGregor or Khabib just because you are heavier then I wish you good luck.

Never claimed this. It's you who's throwing unsupported crap like "Strength no matter", but then backpedal instantly when laws of physics disagree.

What I want to see in a fight is you taking on Michael J White.

I have never said that strength wouldn’t matter. Of course there is a reason for divisions. I just tried to say that a light weight professional would beat a heavier amateur because of skill.

As for J White... I‘d show him a pencil trick:D

You make it sound like it's a fact when it's not. Do you honestly believe McGregor would beat up Thor Bjornsson?

When it comes to Rain even if he is on the cover of the game. They probably won't include him just to break his fans hearts haha

1 of the other pro players said that their favorite character was Meat.
I think NRS just told them to say a character that they liked, but I don’t see Meat making the roster, either.

How would aFujin not be doing much story-wise, especially if this is where Raiden goes off the deep-end just killing everyone before they can attack?
With Raiden potentially going power crazy, yeah, this would be the perfect time for a more level-headed Fujin to step up as the new protector of EarthRealm.
I agree with you that I think that he’ll be relegated to DLC, like with Tremor in MKX, due to them cashing off of the fan demand, but no, I disagree and think that Fujin could have plenty of story potential for MK11 if written right.
 
I have a dream. A dream to spend one day here and don't have to see Xenon fighting someone about random bs and with crappy arguments.
 
No, he wouldn’t, because Björnsson is a freakin mountain. But for example Bob Sapp wasn’t winning fights against smaller opponents because he is slow and his head is just as weak as from anybody else. Mirko Cro Cop destroyed him in the first round. There are always different criteria concerning a fight.

Anyways, it seems they reveal fighters that were not present in MKX. D‘Vorah and Kano were only shown briefly. So who’s next? I hope it’s Noob.

That just makes me wonder which version of Kabal this is supposed to be, as well.
His default skin in the reveal / gameplay trailer for him seems to be gray / revenant-like, so I'm guessing that he's from the current timeline, like Jade.
It also gives me a bit of relief to see playable revenants with those intro lines, because while MK1, MKII and MK3 will be revisited in MK11 (per Boon) it also means that they aren't completely wiping out this new timeline (seemingly), which I'm Ok with.
We don't need another Trilogy reboot after MK9, but seeing dead Goro and Moloch, it gives me hopes that they plan to continue moving forward and not backwards.
