I think it's more of NRS likes to reuse assets from injustice 2's gear pieces but W/E. As far as the Jade reveal goes, She looks bad ass. She's looks way more powerful gameplay wise than she ever did in mk9. I'm happy to see her back and I don't see how anyone can say that she was a after thought. NRS did a fantastic job with her.
 
I think Rain is 90% in now sonicfox said his main is Rain anfdsome other guy said Jade, also Rain had as much demandas Jade in mkx. The only thing keeping me skeptical about it is that you have the assist from Rain in the time towers
 
Guys, brazilian dude responsible of the voice dub (reliable source) here konfirmed over 50 voices for Mortal Kombat 11.

Of course they cannot address who is who, but regarding the roster, that's a lot more of possible cameos.

I'll buy original because, despite our VA being excellent, I prefer the original and I disagree with some voicing choices, but this is nice to know because it seems the story mode will be very wide.

Wow, that is alot, but did he confirm they were all for Kombatants? Like for all we know some of those voices could be for SF Soldier A and Demon Goon #666. Though the thought of it is cool and opens up alot of cameo/possible future dlc potential if Tanya and Bo' were indicators (cool to see more characters in story than just on the roster).

No, he couldn't! Still, I believe we'll have lots of cameos, and I believe this is totally out of DLC zone.

I'm glad of her. Of all the females, she was the one I most liked, really glad this return was so nice.
 
I'm glad Jade is in! Of course she will be my main. I believe some of her attacks are low blows already (mainly the one she has been doing on Skarlet during the reveal trailer) and I hope there'd be a "Crushing Blow" on that. ;)
 
Her face looks fine, why are people complaining so much when the characters finally look like real people? I know I complained about Sonya at first but it's more about her neck and lack of long hair than anything, she does look like a real person just not what I pictured her as.

Here's my opinion on this. I was always in favor of balance. MK9 went to an extreme, but this is going to an extreme as well. And honestly I don't see coherent reason why this is being done. Neither from the Devs, neither from the people who support this change.

Key buzzwords I keep reading is:
- It's realistic!
- It's practical!
- It's badass!
- It's still sexay!
- GO WATCH PORNHUB!!!

The "realism" part.
I've already addressed this pile of garbage before but just to reiterate...There is absolutely nothing realistic about Mortal Kombat. Just to entertain this idea, a "realistic" Mortal Kombat would mean there would be absolutely NO WOMEN in game at all. Have you seen the guys they have to fight? They're like 3 times bigger than them at least. The difference between male and female strength is so immense it's not even funny. Guys are both taller, faster and stronger. Take this from someone who has been powerlifting/building casually for 4 years. According to this, I've already surpassed the most Elite 120kg woman in strength. Then you watch that video where a scrawny guy who never worked out beats a pro Crossfit woman in armwrestling EASILY. Then you take a look at monsters like Larry Wheels, and I'm suppose to pretend that somehow a skinnyfat 45kg scrawny woman is suppose to beat him up? Insult to intelligence.

The "practical" part.
This is funny because "practical" seems to translate to: "cover all women from head to toe in a robe or a skintight leather". The other day I was pushing a sled, around 200kgs I think. My lazy ass thought it was a good idea not to take off my hoodie, I was also wearing very thick leather pants and shoes. By rep 4 I started to HYPER-F%CKING-VENTILATE. Why? Because I started to sweat like a pig. If I had the choice of dressing like Baraka in his underwear honestly that's what I'd do. Because it's PRACTICAL. Having a skintight leather suit is anything but practical, unless you're working with extremely heavy loads and trying to LIMIT your motion. They're also wearing high heel shoes, who are they trying to fool here? :lol:

The "badass" part.
I don't find cosplayers badass so I suppose it's a personal preference. Doesn't make it a fact.

The "it's still sexay" part.
Once again, it's basically a bunch of nerds trying to push their own tastes as a tangible fact. Different strokes for different folks, but I don't find find women covered head to toe with extremely average bodies and wonky faces as "sexay".

The "pornhub" part.
Majority of porn is for cuckolds and cuckoldry is not something I'm willing to explore. Besides, we had like 20 years where this never has been an issue, but now suddenly if a woman who isn't wearing a paper bag for a costume it means porn? Sickos.

Difficult to say. I don't really follow these characters much. I make most of my guesses, by using past history for reference and trying to imagine how I would do it, if I was them.

Even so, here is my best take. I don't wanna be "heh maybe yes, maybe not" so I will be decisive.

Rain is pretty likely, but not sure. I think he is a safe bet to say, that he will be included in the game. But most likely as a DLC (NRS might have said that they won't repeat DLC, but I don't think WB gives two shits what NRS says.). Still has a decent chance to skip this game as well, as they are trying to introduce more characters. Even so I am betting on YES (he will appear).

Smoke... to be honest wouldn't be surprised if he was at best an NPC. NRS excuse would be "he was in MKX already as a variation". If he doesn't make the base roster, it is safe to assume he won't be making as DLC either (the 2 time rule might play here as well). I say NO to this one.

Noob. Pretty high chance to appear judging by how story is flowing. Past and present colliding. Good opportunity for Kuai Liang to meet Bi Han once again. Certain intro between Bo Rai Cho and Sub Zero in MKX, brought him up as well. So there could be a possibility of Kronika using Noob to deal with Sub Zero's side. Maybe even his clan. I suspect, Kronika might even recruit some people to her cause. Promising them power or some shit. I say YES to this one.

Fujin. Ok. From business point of view, this would make no sense, if they made him skip this game. Jade is popular? Pssh. Fujin at this point is a community's favorite. But I am still not sure if he will appear on base roster or DLC. DLC makes more sense, as they know that there is demand for him. So by ancient rules of supply and demand, Fujin should be a DLC character. Also storywise, I don't see him doing much (judging by how story looks so far). I say YES to this one.

As for Havik. Eeeeeeeh... low chances. I would like to see him in action, but story wise he doesn't make much sense (again judging by this story, as for me he would be perfect, as war = chaos. Havik should be actually sitting on the frontlines and enjoying the view.) So I am calling it no. I say NO.

I will most likely lose my shit, if I will guess all or at least most of them right. Cause that means, judging by my guesses and certain leaks I saw in reddit... I will be flipping my table in disappointment, once I will Frost.

"Realism"
I respectfully disagree with certain part fo your statement, but before that let me summon my INNER NERD.
This is a martial arts competition, not power lifting. Women have equal chance to win a fight in tournament like that. Contrary to hollywood's bullshit, martials arts were never designed for muscle heads. It is a form of fighting that is said to be created by weak people for the weak people. Hence why most of martial artists (let me emphasize MOST) never have massive bodies. They don't need them, cause your ability to powerlift 200kg, won't save you from a precise attack to your natural body weaknesses. Hell just brushing your chin with a punch, can send you down to the ground, as that impact will be enough to shake your brains so bad, that it will feel like like someone is shaking a bag of potatoes inside your skull.

Weight and size only matter if you fight someone head on. Like Sumo or Boxing. But in grappling or more traditional martials arts, your big size and weight can actually work against you.

But... having said that. Then it comes to realism, the problem isn't that women are part of fighting. Biggest problem, is that they look like cheap chinese chopsticks. I have seen experienced female kickboxers in my club. Bodies made of f%cking steel. You can see the muscles, just glow in power and at the same time, they aren't as huge, as some sort of bodybuilders. So whatever is NRS doing here is just... meh. They are so concentrating on those immersive facial animations, that they forgot to check how a body of an actual fighter looks like.

But that's just artistic remark.

"Practical"
I want the person who says that Jade's current outfit is practical, to stand in front of me and say that to my face without looking like a f$cking moron. He will fail of course. Holy shit, are you seeing those heels, dude? Not even heels, but freaking needles. Oh yeah and she is doing attacks that make her slide across the stage at high speed... on needles. That's some quality shoes.

As for bodysuits. It really depends on the material. There are bodysuits, that are designed for flexibility. Shit they are being used in military as well.

Either way, apart Sonya, Jade and Skarlet wear nothing even close to "practical".

"Badass"
I agree. Completely subjective. So far don't find a single outfit (male or female) as badass. Cheap would be a more correct term, but that is just me with my personal tastes.

Also subjective. I don't even look for sexy elements, but more of exotic looks. Though my colleague, that is a walking Lust machine (she does Hentai artwork). Find them nothing even close to sexy. Literally said the same thing I was thinking. "Some serious conservative shit is going"

Not even worth talking about this, as argument alone is one of the most stupidest things one can say.
 
Why do you think men are not allowed to beat up women in sports? Because their strength alone would negate any skill advantage that a woman could posses. And this is supposed to be a game about "best of best" fighters in a deathmatch, so there is no skill difference. Everyone is a master.

A good example of this would be when that transgender came in to a women wrestling division, and completely wiped the floor with them. It was so bad in fact that now it's banned. Why do you think the reverse doesn't happen? You cannot argue with biology.
 
Strength is not everything. Every professional female fighter would beat a non-professional male. Like the guy who wanted to rob a UFC woman in Brazil. He got his face raped.

Bruce Lee would not have probably lift very much. But his speed and his skills would destroy any bodybuilder. So I don’t see the point of this discussion.
