Mortal Kombat 11 General Discussion Media Thread

Rain will probably not be in, but Reptile won’t skip a game.
As much as I’d rather have more post-MK3 characters, this’ll probably be another MKX situation with another 16 - 17 out of 25 being from MK9 with Geras, Cassie, Kronika, maybe 2 MKX people and maaaaaaaaaaaybe a post-MK3 character like Bo Rai Cho.
I think it’s pretty shitty for someone to act like a masochist and not want a character in for the sole reason that someone else suffers, though.

Ed said they are listening to fans now. And i am sure fan asked for Rain more than Skarlet

This isn't like Injustice 2 where they copied over Batman, Superman, Harley etc. Almost everyone functions like a brand new character. Not even Scorpion's spear works like it used to in past MK games.

In the early to mid 90s, having 18 characters in fighting game was massive. Players these days don't realize how lucky they are in that regard.

And truth be told I understand how he feels. Not only are the cries of "X isn't in so this game sucks" premature, especially in light of the fact that DLC is a thing so we won't know the full roster for another ~year, but more importantly they're god damn annoying.

I've been wanting to see Reiko done right for the better part of the last decade. The MKX comic was the biggest tease of all time. And how many times have you heard me complain about Reiko's lack of inclusion in either game? Zeeerrrrrrrrooooooo. Literally zero. I just stfu and enjoy what I do get.
 
I could be wrong, but I strongly believe Rain is coming back in MK11 as a playable character. However I feel we are either getting Smoke or Noob Saibot but not both
 
I hate to sound like I'm just complaining a lot, but I just wanna know why in the holy f*** is the Kollector's Edition $300 when it offers less than the most expensive version of Injustice 2? Even when factoring the mask, Dishonored 2 had more physical items in its collector's edition and it was only $100. I like Mortal Kombat and all but Jesus.

I honestly think they upgraded her look to resemble a little more italian or european in general (mediterranean), since Johnny is an european descendant from this region.

I just think her face is too rounded. If they smooth a little bit, I can totally see Johnny Cage there.

Yup. There were several "leaks", none successful. Good times of photoshop menus with MK9 Shinnok.

Turned out Shinnok was in.

Not only there wasn't a single MKX leak successful, but some people kept denying Sonya when saw her at the Jinsei, and even when she was the face of SF in the war. Some even denied Shinnok.

And tbh, some were in denial even when they saw Cassie lol

Still, we do have to be cautious with that leak.

They mentioned Kronika, Geras and Rona Rousey, that's not something you just make up.

But they also mentioned Conroy, Geras being at odds with Kronika (seems unlikely) and other stuff that was wrong. The story wasn't that wrong, pointed out things that are really true, but some mistakes.

My guess? This person probably got this leak way before they actually finished some ideas. There is no way they mentioned those three information out of nothing. So we might have seen most of the roster, but there was no Skarlet there, and iirc the number of fighters seemed to be bigger.

I'd say it's spoiled a bit, but the real spoilers are characters we don't imagine coming back, or those we believe would that won't. Because having Johnny or Sonya in the roster is naturally very likely.
 
Jesus. One month for one character. That's a lot of dedication....Derek sounds like he's having a lot of fun, especially looking at that face standing between the chicks :lol:

People need to stop pushing for Mileena. Awful character, and we have Baraka anyways.

I remember the leak list that everyone was posting until Ed Boon said it was fake. Looking back on the list, it didn't have Skarlet and Baraka on it. However, it did had Kronika and Geras on the list. That person must have been very lucky on guessing the new characters names.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had 59 characters. And that was in 2012. MKA had 63 (including the Wii exclusive Khameleon), and that was 6 years earlier.

Bar set. That's why 25 is too small.

Oh, and about TTT2 and MKA; wanna know how many guest characters those 2 games had combined? A big fat ZERO!

Yeah yeah. For someone who always complains about lack of originality and "boring", it's not a surprise that you find Mileena great. A literal clone of Kitana who also shares Baraka's features. :lol: She can sit out a game, no harm will be done. Promise.
