Yeah man it's quite a trip, but it's worth it to get some MK time and maybe some exclusive swag. I'll take plenty of pictures and videos for you guys. Don't you worry :D
 
Ok so I'm gonna leave my house in a few hours to hit up this tour. Ill be sure to take lots of pictures. If you wanna meet up send me a PM and Ill shoot you my cell.

Just got back from the LA truck stop, and it was pretty cool! There's a line of people outside the truck, and they let 8 people in at a time. Inside the truck, there's a big leather couch with 4 hdtv's facing the couch connected to 4 ps3's...and there's an MK demo! You play the person ur sitting next to. 4 char available: subzero, scorp, mileena, and cage. The gameplay is pretty smooth and graphics are killer. You can bring up an in-game move list complete with fatals. Saw an x-ray move too (mileena's) - kinda short but cinematic. You get to play 2 matches (2 rounds each),and then 8 new people get to play. The event started at 4pm on the dot. I got there at 3:40pm and there were about 20 people in line. I was done by 4:30. Not sure what time it ends. There were NRS/warner staff on hand - bring ur IDs - u must be 17 to play. Also bring proof of ur preorder (via iphone ok) and u get a free tshirt! They passed out 3 free mk mp3 cards and a flyer for an mk tourney in vegas in may. No other free swag. Many folks asked about smoke and one of the staffers replied cryptically something along the lines of "all in time".
 
Awesome, looking forward to playing down here in Austin. Was kinda hoping they'd give out a little more but the t-shirt + an opportunity to play the game is great. Glad it's the demo and not a full build.
 
That made the next months worth of waiting a bit easier. The game handles so god damn smooth. Feels JUST like mk2 but more fast paced. The damage effects were crazy too. And sheeeit, I got a free shirt. Intense day indeed.

we must have played at the same time cuz that was exactly my experience. yea the game was cool. i was a little disappointed it was the demo and not a separate build of the game. unfortunately they did not allow pictures to be taken inside the truck but it was a real nice set up. i won both my matches with 1 fatality (sub-zero) so im happy.

So I just got back from the tour. It was awesome. Not alot of people. here are some pictures.
I showed them my pre order receipt and I got a free shirt and 3 free song downloads from the new MK album coming out on APril 5. One of the tracks says BARAKA's THEME.

That's cool that you went, but you missed a great demo showing from GDC. Check one of the threads on the forum page and you'll see what I mean. Baraka gameplay footage and much more was shown.

Also, there were 4 additional shirts that were on display but not for sale there. They said you can only purchase online.
I couldnt really take pictures near the booth cause they wouldnt let us. Sorry :(
