MK9-PS3 v.s MK9-XBOX

So I was just wondering...How come PS3 gets to choose almost any character from the roster to use as his KOTH avatar, not only are they cool looking but they're FREE! While Xbox gets their own dashboard avatar, and of course you can PURCHASE MK9 armor but at the cost of 3-4 dollars a peice, and even if you do purchase it, it doesn't look as realistic as PS3's...I just don't think is fair enough for the Xbox 360 owners.

But 360 does get a DLC character free if you buy the season pass.
 
Well, lets outline features that I like from both versions.

PS3
- Kratos (The more the merrier)
- Extra Stages + Fatalities
- Quicker loading times (or so I hear)

Xbox 360
- Smoother gameplay (no lag in X-Ray attacks and Fatalities)
- Custom Avatar support for KotH
- Seasons Pass

TBH, the Smoother Gameplay and Custom Avatar for KotH would have made me choose the 360 over the PS3. But I don't have an Xbox 360 so I had no choice there.

I guess those are some good reasons but i'm just trying to know what people think about the avatars in Xbox compared to PS3's
 
I think the 360 avatars look better.


PS3 Sektor's dreads are much crappier than 360's :(
But I do envy them being able to rock the full costumes.
 
I've got the PS3 version and am very happy with it, but custom avatars would have been nice, so I think the 360 has got the better option there.
 
Anyone knows when MK 9 avatars will be available in PSN store?

Topicwise I can't comment for I have no Xbox360. I am pleased with my PS3 version (minus all the bugs, but NRS is to blame here and not Sony).
 
I've had it on both systems. I traded the 360 version in and kept my PS3 copy because in the end it will be the most complete copy, but the continuous problems with the PS3 version have made me think twice about my decision.

Oh and the KOTH avatars are FAR better (on the 360). Why would you want generic character ones over your personal one?

I'm just disappointed the PS3 version doesn't have the Season Pass. Both versions should have got it. Anyway, I bought the PS3 version for free online play and I prefer it's controller for fighting games.
 
I like that on 360 you can have your own custom avatar but I hate the fact they make you pay cheap MS points so you have to purchase 500 points (minimum) to get a helmet.

With that said, my Ermac > All PS3 avatars :P

My main version of MK 2011 game , favourite, it's PS3 one.

I use this game in Xbox, only as a backup stuff, just in case I cannot play in my PS3 for some reason .....

So, everyone who play against me in Xbox, will crush my bones in this game, since I'm not used/adapted to that crap controller, hehe !!

PS3 was given Kratos, so now Xbox is being given a free character in the season pass. M$ couldnt get a character to NRS fast enough so NRS is bringing one to M$. Thats great fan dedication

Xbox avatars are usable in many XBA games, like Full House Poker for example. Thats why M$ gets you on buying them so it can be seen by other people in such games. However some games give Avatar Awards.....MK didnt but i still bought Noobs Mask.

I've played both. With the exception of the exclusive stuff, there isn't a real significant difference between the versions.

If I could i'd choose the season pass and/or smoother gameplay over some silly KOTH avatars that I dont care.

Season Pass > Avatars

PS - Xbox360 does have lag, PS3 lag may be a bit worse but both have it. I know because 2 of my friends have 360.
