MK11's new hero (protagonist)?

I've always been in favor of giving the 3d characters a second chance. But I've always found it stupid how people see more potential in some than others. They ALL sucked. Yet they all had potential.

What exactly made Li Mei better than Dairou? Other than the obvious answer of 'nothing'.

Well you can see a huge difference between reiko and jarek. Reiko is a general who want to be an emperor. Jarek just a random black dragon member

I can spin it another way. Shao Kahn had plenty of generals, Reiko was just the least notable of them all.
While Jarek believed himself to be the last of his clan. He carried the entire future of the Black Dragon on his back as he sought a way to return them to their former glory.


See? It doesn't actually matter. They're both losers.

But this is not true. We can see reiko has some goals of his own from the comic. Jarek has none

We're talking about who to revive from the 3d era games. Reiko may have gotten some love recently, but you cannot tell me he did anything to deserve it from the old timeline. He's on the same level as everyone else.
 
Why make another new hero when we just had one?

Many may not have liked it being Cassie, and many may not have liked how there's a bunch of characters that had one game and then get ditched later on... I think it's time they should stop doing this to their characters.

So no, there shouldn't be ANOTHER new hero. They can do plenty of stuff with the four characters they have now.

And topics will get sidetracked every now and then... It's nothing to make a big deal about.

Can you show me the concept art? I don't recall seeing it. Kai was super cool to me, despite how others feel about him.

I do think there is a good amount of MK4 fighters present in the game, though, man. Shinnok, Quan Chi, and Tanya are all playable. Sareena and Fujin, despite having very minor parts, are present in the story. The only ones who didn't really show up at all are Reiko, Jarek, and Kai. To be fair, though, Boon's latest tweet suggests that more DLC could be on the way so we should just wait and see.

I don't think I'd be able to handle Special Forces being the heroes for another game.
Best case scenario, Kotal Kahn's ending is canon and Outworld becomes the protagonist for once.

Sure, there could be an ocasional cool lady playing the game here and there, and if there are any on this forum, please let me know.
But the game is mostly addressed to men. I AM Quan Chi. I AM Johnny Cage. I AM Liu Kang. I pick Kitana and Mileena now and then, but mostly for laughs.

Now, what's with all these feminization of the manliest game ever? Cassie Cage suddenly is the hero?? Bleah.. That's like putting Hannah Montana gone crazy in the first line of a war. Why do you guys want to see Miley Cyrus save the day?

We identify with the male characters in the story. Sonya kicking Quan Chi's balls... That was so lame. I swear, all the writers of this game (Cianciolo, Brian Chard, Greenberg) are all sissies who like to be humiliated by their girlfriends and pegged from behind. They find pleasure in this stuff. How is femdom funny in a video game? Enough with this feminizitation crap. This is Mortal Kombat, a man's game. Don't ruin it.

I like very much Jaqui, she's a sweet young girl who needs protection from Takeda. That's a cool character. It reminds me of Sonya in the first games or of Taja from Mortal Kombat Konquest. The women should be below Liu Kang or Johnny Cage, Kung Lao or Siro in terms of strength. But they put Sonya on steroids and she beats up Quan Chi and Kano and a bunch of other guys. Now we got Man_Sonya (I knew that MK9 look of her wouldn't go away soon !)
I'm surprised Quan Chi is even played anymore, after the butchering they did in the story.

Dairou's back ground movement is very cool though. It's so fast and it's a fricking pop-up. I actually really liked Dairou. He resembles ancient Chinese warriors, which is always cool, and I like his hair. Watch "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" to see how Chinese males used to be in medieval times. Dairou for me is a representation of that. I happen to think he's a good obscure character to make a come back some day. From Deception, Havik, Hotaru, Dairou and Ashrah all have potential IMO I just feel Dairou is VERY incomplete. His leg fireball is not very good. I loved his fatality.

MK 1-4: Liu Kang
MK Deadly Alliance: Raiden
MK Deception: Shujinko
MK Armageddon: Taven
MK 2011: Raiden
MK X: Cassie Cage

I'm all for Shujinko and Taven returning. Shujinko doesn't have to lack a unique playstyle anymore, neither does Taven have to be a pyromancer. They could do great things with them IMO

I was more so calling your post a troll post because you're complaining that this game has been feminized to get us girls' attention and the amount of bologna I read, holy shit dude. I don't know what exactly is feminine about this game, I guess having a teen kick some demon's ass or having a woman kick a sorcerer in the balls is?

Yeah, Mortal Kombat sure is a "manly" game. *Snorts*
