We identify with the male characters in the story. Sonya kicking Quan Chi's balls... That was so lame. I swear, all the writers of this game (Cianciolo, Brian Chard, Greenberg) are all sissies who like to be humiliated by their girlfriends and pegged from behind. They find pleasure in this stuff. How is femdom funny in a video game? Enough with this feminizitation crap. This is Mortal Kombat, a man's game. Don't ruin it.

I like very much Jaqui, she's a sweet young girl who needs protection from Takeda. That's a cool character. It reminds me of Sonya in the first games or of Taja from Mortal Kombat Konquest. The women should be below Liu Kang or Johnny Cage, Kung Lao or Siro in terms of strength. But they put Sonya on steroids and she beats up Quan Chi and Kano and a bunch of other guys. Now we got Man_Sonya (I knew that MK9 look of her wouldn't go away soon !)

Don't you just LOVE that sexism? Why should Kitana, Jacqui, or any other female be below the men? I as a man personally prefer Cassie over the likes of Scorpion, Johnny, or Liu Kang. The best thing about MKX was having a female hero. I swear some people need to move out of their way. Men don't need to be dominant in everything. While I hope MK11 explores other characters. I would definitely like Cassie to retain her leading lady role.
 
I wouldn't mind this:

Liu Kang and Kitana's reign becomes too much for Raiden and the other to handle, so the Elder Gods are asked to revive Shang Tsung and Quan Chi to help fight along side the good forces (like revenants, but on the good side) to stop Liu Kang and Kitana.

Doubt it would happen, but I'd like to see it.
 
The young new comers had their glory in MKX and to be honest...it was too soon n just horrible. Way to put the veterans in the back seat. I get why they did it but i think it could have been done better. I mean come on Cassie

The newbies should have a better role this time around. From the New kids on the block i can see Cassie being the Leader but I also see Takeda being one as well
 
Let's face it guys, the new generation characters are really lame. All the 4 new heroes that they thought of show a lack of inspiration.
I mean, this was a game where they invented:
A God who wields lightning and thunder
A masked assassin who shoots ice
An undead ninja breathing fire
A Chinese hero who is the embodiment of the dragon spirit
A green human-lizard, last of a species that roamed the Earth thousands of years ago
A crazy demonic race with blades sticking out from their bodies and rimmed teeth
A warrior, but elegant Princess and her clone with a beauty complex
Sorcerers capable of stealing souls, opening portals and reading ancient rune stones
Elder Gods
Edenian fighters and royalty
A fusion of souls
Demons wishing to escape the Netherrealm
Clerics of chaos
Fighters of different races
Demigods with dragons as pets


What were they possibly thinking when they designed these SF heroes:
A blond skinny girl, daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya. Looks just like her mother. Short hair like Mileay Cyrus. Smart talking, like her father. Uses his move too. Has his green energy too. Has mommy issues. Learns how to lead........BORING
A Chinese bow warrior. Of course, this is a game sold mostly in America, so he spent his youth in the USA, where he gained the most overdone and copied personality in Mortal Kombat: being arrogant and bragging. Cousin of Kung Lao. Let's make him gay... WTF?
Another Asian guy, son of Kenshi and a mix-up between him and Scorpion. Uses telekinesis like his father, but also uses whips, similar to Scorpion's. At least they gave him a nice personality.
An Afro-American girl, daughter of Jax, always in the shadow of Cassie Cage. Her special thing is.... iron fists? Meh... She's a nice girl though, not stuck up like her BFF.

I'm tired of these Earthrealm characters. They have absolutely no value for me. They're clones of what has been done before. Make Rain or Ashrah or Reiko the heroes of MK11. Earthrealm sucks.

This is why the protagonist role should be given to proven veterans like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden instead of rookies.

'Cept, they're not clones. If they were, they'd play completely like the person they're cloned from. No one plays exactly like another character in this game. Sorry, better luck next time.

I've suggested this thing many times, but people are still too hung up on nostalgia.
Here's what I think of nostalgia. :bird:
I understand certain characters being staple MK characters according to NRS (Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana), but I'd love to see the 8 new MKX character coming back for MK11, as well as more post-MK3 characters like Fujin, Reiko, Li Mei Sareena and Havik getting a chance in the next game.
I also agree with [MENTION=4889]BBBLP[/MENTION].
Just about any character can get a good revamp and be proven to be a good character, as MK9 Kenshi, MKX Tanya and MKX Shinnok have proven.
 
I know that feeling too well, although for the time being, having Cassie and her teammates as heroes in the next game is fine. But I DO agree that Cassie shouldn't be able to defeat Shinnok, but at least fend him off, although in a struggle until Jin was able to free Raiden and have the Thunder God deal the actual final blow.

On the same subject, besides Jin and Takeda, I wanna see the girls in their fighting outfit NOT issued by the SF (not raunchy or unprotected). Also, Jacqui keeping or building, updating her power gloves at home or having to steal them for unauthorized fights against danger, not noticed by the military.

Story-wise, I can somewhat see them slowly lose their faith towards Raiden as he's doing unnecessary conducts to ensure Earthrealm's safety, and both Kai and Fujin offering them support in a situation not only to watch out for trouble with Kotal Kahn's forces in Outworld AND wondering about newest de-facto leaders; Liu Kang and Kitana's next move in the Netherrealm, but also deal with internal strife with Raiden's dark methods.
 
I fail to see how Takeda uses telekinesis and how he's a mix of Scorpion and Kenshi, these 2 statements couldn't be much further from the truth.

Someone didn't play MKX...
 
MK 11 new hero should be Kung-Jin.
MK X hero should have been Kung-Jin.
He is descendant of the great Kung Lao and a more experienced warrior tah Cassie Cage.

But he doesn't have the Star Power of Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden. Protagonists need to be Box Office characters.

^ What is the MK rule book says the protagonist must be Scorpion, Sub Zero, or Raiden? The hero can be whoever Ed Boon chooses to be. Just to make the MK fans butt hurt. I pray majority of the MK universe favorite fighters return, but with Cassie and friends still the main leads. Imagine MK11 with Smoke, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Noob Saibot, Reiko, Havik, and other fan favorites. Yet Cassie, Jacqui, Takeda, and Kung Jin are still running the show
 
I agree with [MENTION=12345]Tarkatan Trash[/MENTION] it is time for scorpion to be the hero if the game. At least he will be a credible hero. Not some teens defeating a god like shinnok
 
I don't know if any of you have seen the movie Red Dawn (2012), it's about North Korea and Russia invading the US but a group of 5 "teens" defeat the whole army, lmao... well just like MKX :laugh:

Shinnok when he gets all demon like at the end is pretty much Dark Kahn from MK v DC, how lame is that? This story was such trash. The first part was so sweet. Then once it started time jumping everywhere it got real dumb. The story had the same ending as the beginning, except with a new squad. It also became an origin story for everyone right at the end. Kotal Kahn was a beast in the comics, but a retard in the game. The old characters aren't even in the story, but they have old variations as their man on the character select screen. This game would have been so sick if they stuck with the Reiko/Havik sorry, ONE OF THEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE BOSS.
 
I also forgot to mention, they should go MK 4 characters and on, with some turning characters from this roster. A revenent shaolin monks game would be sick af.
