MK11's new hero (protagonist)?

Personally I don't like them, but I'm not saying they should be replaced because I know that's not realistic. They have a plan for them and I expect them to fulfill the character arcs for them. Wouldn't be surprised to see one of them did in Mk11 tho.

I very much hope so

I wouldn't mind this at all. Even if Jade isn't a protagonist. I hope she returns in MK11. Course I hope she's much easier to use than she was in MK9

I agree. I'm excellent with her in MK9 now but I think it took me about 1-2 years of becoming an expert with her in MK9. I hope she will be more fun to play as and faster to master when she is playable again!!!

Shang Tsung is mentioned in a lot of endings in MKX. Let's just say that all of and/or most of the endings in MKX are canon along with storymode.

The Elder Gods revive Quan Chi to kill Raiden

The Elder Gods revive Shang Tsung to kill Liu Kang

Kotal Kahn pleads with the Elder Gods to to sanction Mortal Kombat tournaments to protect Outworld

Somehow Shinnok and Shao Kahn come back as well. Wonder what the intro dialogue between Shinnok and Shao Kahn would sound like...

How many endings is Shang Tsung mentioned in? I only recall him being in Ermac's.

He appears in Ermac's ending and is implied to be alive and watching over the army of Mileena clones in Mileena's ending.

Erron Black's ending shows him meeting Shang Tsung in flashback.

Cassie thinks the power-copying warrior Raiden is sending her after in her ending is a resurrected Shang Tsung (it's Shujinko).

Johnny's ending is set on Shang Tsung's island.

I think many will be disappointed to discover that Casse is most likely the new Liu Kang of the series. Which I'm okay with. Just about anyone could take the position from Kang and I'd be happy (With the exception of a few abominations).

Bo Rai Cho is too important to the story to get rid of. But what of Sareena? I think she deserves one too.

Lmao Bo Rai Cho is too important to the story? How so? In this new timeline he is practically non existent. I wouldn't expect to see anymore of him after his brief MKX cameo. The fans have spoken. Bo' Rai Cho is heavily criticized and NRS gets it.

Actually, I think the response to Bo'Rai Cho's cameo in MKX was pretty positive. No fart jokes, minimum obnoxiousness, I don't think people have a problem with that.

Cassie the new Kang? Doubt it. She'll get one more game at best, then get tossed into her mother's role

More or less this.

I fully expect Kung Jin or Takeda to helm the next game. Meanwhile Cassie suffers Raiden's fate, getting the "respectable" Chapter 10/11 treatment.

It's MK's version of getting the "and" in the credits!

His cameo in MKX, sure. But he has a history of being awful and is still tied down to it. I truly do not believe we will ever see Bo' Rai Cho again. Besides, we don't even know what his current status is. Looked like he was left for dead.

I don't know, man. The story really seemed to be pushing Cassie in that role. They tried squeezing in the fact that Johnny was the new Kang for a while (in-between games) and that he's being replaced by his daughter.

I'd rather them give the spot to someone else, but I think we're gonna have to live with it. Takeda or the Green Arrow will replace Sonya on the new team. *shrug*

God I hope not. Why does an inter-dimensional martial arts fighting tournament revolve around a blonde white teen?

NRS's way of saying "We're progressive! ...Sorta."

It's great that they want to have strong female leads who don't rely on their tits and ass. But Cassie probably wasn't the best choice. Honestly, I don't think any of the newcomers in SF are lead worthy. Save for maybe Takeda. But who knows what they'll do. Like I've said, NRS isn't consistent in the least bit. MK 11 may come along and kill Cassie off in the first five minutes of story mode by Reptile or some lame lackey character who suddenly found it within themselves to outmatch the girl who bested Shinnok.

It's almost pointless to speculate what will happen next in MK.

But after playing MKX, Cassie really does seem to be the new Kang.

In the title of the game itself? You know, what the entire mythos is centered around.

You might think so, but you'd be wrong. The only games in the entire franchise to feature a tournament are 1, 2, and the 1 and 2 portions of MK9. That's less than one out of three.

No Mortal Kombat tournament has revolved around a blonde white teen, and statistically speaking, no Mortal Kombat tournament is likely to revolve around one any time soon. If that's all the beef you got with Cassie, you can rest easy.

Remind me again who trained the man who snapped Outworld's winning streak at the last possible opportunity?
