MK vs Dc Shangtsuing

I'm trying to keep an open mind about this game, especially with my want of "V" from V for Vendetta or possible Constantine. But Shang Tsung morphing into DC characters? That actually makes me nervous. I would understand it more if he can only morph into MK characters to keep the effect that it's a versus DC game. But who knows, nothing really amazes me at this point.
 
I honestly thought that this thread was going to be about someone trying to sue Midway or something for messing with Mortal Kombat.

Man, way to get my hopes up. Brilliant title though. Too bad it was unintentional.
 
Considering Shang Tsung has yet to have morphing abilities in a 3D MK fighting game I find this doubtful. He was only able to morph in MKSM with a considerable amount of lag time between changes, and that messes with the flow and can be exploited by players...meaning probably not gonna happen, for MK or DC chars.

I was going to say, i thought he stopped morphing back in Umk3 for the versus games atleast

Hah just what I was going to say.

Also I don't think morphing would fit in at all with the new direction MK is taking fighting engine wise. This is all about close-quarter fighting, with each character having unique trademark moves. Shang's morphing just completely goes against the flow of that
 
And it didn't before? His power was always unique in that he copied others for his own power...of course by MK3 and MKDA he was clearly powerful enough as a sorceror on his own to be viable without his morphing powers.

No, he morphs in UMK3. But in MKT on the PSX, you could disable his morphs sice the PS1 wasnt powerful enough to handle his morphs without stopping to load.

And even though he can morph into almost all the chraacters in UMK3, he is still a bottom tier character in MK3/UMK3/MKT
