What do you guys think of Michael Weatherly as Johnny Cage if Casper doesn't return for the film?
His character seems very much like Johnny Cage and he looks the part as well.

After watching the Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) v. Scorpion Teaser clip, from the actual Machinima stream, here's what I have to say about it:
Spoiler:We all know what the outcome is, so I don't need to elaborate on that, only that we're probably gonna see a gruesome fatality in the actual episode.
The costume for Sub-Zero is dreadful, like really? Paintball gear basically as stated before. Scorpion looks alright, same outfit as Season 1, but faded yellow and burnt due to hellspawn/spectre form.
Scorpion's voice sounds very similar to the voice in MK9, so I'm particularly happy about that.
The fight scene overall including special effects is horrible. Clearly low budget choreography with actors who really aren't great at selling martial arts techniques. The camera angles clearly show that the impact is fake, and the movement of the actors are not fluid at all, it's as if they memorized the motions and are not making us believe this is a real fight. The way the fight was choreographed was wicked, but the actual performance of it from the actors was crap. As for the special effects, probably MK Annihilation level, which is BAD.
Overall, I'm happy with the story as it is definitely canon and is not veering from the actual MK story, and the potential of the choreography, but come on, at least make it look good, lower budget wu-shu movies have better looking fight scenes. Hell, even the first two MK Movies had better fight scenes than this. Hopefully more editing is taking place and it was not the final cut.
Either him or Chris Evans as Johnny Cage.I'd rather have Ryan Reynolds. But that (^) dude's ok.
You missed the point of my PR comparison. What im saying is that despite the different looks, scorp, subz and them are still "Ninja Chars".
Despite the different looks, those people in the red suits up there are ALL still what we call a "POWER RANGER".
"Their purpose in the story" is a moot point in what im trying to say, which is, that no matter how different scorpion will look through the ages, he will STILL be a 'Ninja char' in the MK franchise and his costumes wont stray too far from that concept. He still has a ninja like mask that hides himself, ninja weapons, and he still has that ninja feel about him. Same with subz, reptile, Noob, Ermac, rain, smoke(definitely), Kitana, Mileena, Jade, Skarlet; why would tremor be any different?
they are ALL 'ninjas', you have your: dead fire ninja, ice ninja, lizard ninja, 'TK' ninja, water and lightning ninja, smoke ninja, slutty girl ninjas.
You even said it yourself, "9th Ninja Char". That is my point to the commander. Im willing to bet that tremor will be a "Ninja char"(if he gets put in; a decision I yet hold in doubt), but I think they need a new char who is NOT a ninja for once.
"dont assume he will be a ninja" well he aint goin look like johnny cage... lol
NO.
They are not all ninja characters or "Ninja char," as you like to point out.
"Ninja" described their appearance, prior to MK9, but with the exception of Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Smoke, ninja is not their occupation.
As of MK9, the only ones who belong to ninja clans and are dressed as ninjas are Smoke, Sub-Zero and Scorpion.
Cyrax and Sektor also belonged to the Lin Kuei, but Sub-Zero and Smoke were the 2 only ninjas from than clan.
Ermac, Reptile, Noob Saibot and Rain are not ninjas by occupation either.
Ermac and Reptile are Shang Tsung's henchmen - NOT NINJAS
Noob Saibot is a NetherRealm wraith and Quan Chi's henchman - NOT A NINJA
Rain is an Edenian warrior and the son of Argus - NOT A NINJA
It's not my opinion, it's FACT.
Go play MK9 again.
You have no evidence that those 5 are ninjas, and have failed to demonstrate otherwise.
MK klassic costumes don't prove anything.
Those 5 are NOT ninjas by MK9 standards.
Yea, I'm pretty sure I said that conversation was over. Perhaps you failed to see that...among other things. Or you chose to ignore it...among other things.
I give no shit for Tremor. He just better not take up valuable space for more Worthy editions.
Believe me, I'm as calm as a flower.
... If you guys wanna go really in depth with this, the only one that's a Ninja is Scorpion, as he belonged to the Shirai Ryu Clan of Ninjas. The Lin Kuei hate the title of being called Ninjas, they are their own entity of Assassin.
I agree with Araknyd though, the only characters that are "Masked Assassins belonging to a clan" are Sub-Zero, Noob before he was killed, Scorpion, Smoke, Cyrax and Sektor.
The others may have the appearances of Ninjas, but that is only to keep Nostalgic roots in tact due to the memory limitations of the past. Could you imagine Ermac or Rain not having masks in the 3D era? I sure as HELL would be pissed off.

They are all still under the category of "Ninja Chars"...
Yea sub does not like to be called ninja, but the fact of the matter is, that is what he is; a ninja.
NRS still considers him one of their "ninja chars". which is MY point.
I agree, for clarity's sake and to classify them into a category, NRS does do that.
However, for story's sake and the actual occupation of the characters themselves, aside from Scorpion and the Lin Kuei, they are not "Assassins belonging to an organized clan".
We're just on two different levels here.
