We dont even have a confirmation yet, so lets wait and we'll see.
My estimation is that you put in disc, disc gives you option of MK1, MK2, UMK3 or MK9 demo.
For 360, buy and download to hard drive, then select game you want to play.

While I'm waiting desperately for a confirmation (yeah talkin to you WB/NS), I'm wondering..if they are using new actors, how will the animations look. The former actors had their own style in martial arts, the way they kicked, punched, etc. I can imagine if new actors/martial artists will be used, the moves will look different orrrrrr are they going to copy the moves in the exact same way? Even if they do copy the moves, it will still look a little bit different I guess. Just some food for tought.

The last thing mentioned about the HD Kollection, was about a few weeks back, when GameStop pulled it off of their Per-Order list.
I'm hoping that the HD Kollection doesn't become the "Gran Turismo 5" of Mortal Kombat.
If it does, then I'll just have to wait for MK 9 and skip the Kollection, for now.
The last thing mentioned about the HD Kollection, was about a few weeks back, when GameStop pulled it off of their Per-Order list.

That's awesome and hilarious. I'd imagine that this is exactly what they're doing, only I hope they're even more precise with matching the positions.
One of the things I'm really curious about is if they're gonna mimic the costumes for each game or just use the same costumes for the characters for all of their appearances. If they just recreate one set of outfits, I hope they use MKII costumes wherever possible. Then again, it might be neat to see the original 7 fighting in their original outfits in UMK3.

MK HD KOLLECTION, available for pre-order in France for November 18th !!
The french website Cdiscount is a reference in France for online sales. This website posted that the game will be available november 18th for 27€99. They call it "MORTAL KOMBAT ARCADE KOMP.PS3". So it might not be HD lol.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that it will get taken down from the website, as with the previous retailers.
I'm just waiting for an OFFICIAL GameStop / NetherRealm HD Kollection reveal.
Until then, I don't believe anything that other websites say.

wow. thats very possible. it does however lose a little bit of fluidity when you only use images. I imagine they could just trim down the actual recorded movements to whatever they need to be to match exact frame inputs and you'd have an even better result.

That's precisely what they did; captured still images for each frame of animation at high quality. I'm sure the Making of MK3 footage is out there still on Youtube that you can check out.
The video footage that Dan Pesina put out were just that, vids of the sessions.
That said, they're likely getting actors that closely match the original ones, then modify the sprites enough to mimic the look in HD.

Yeah, I think of it like GTA's Episodes from Liberty City where the screen comes up with the two games and you get to choose which one you want to play. I figure they would go that same route with the Kollection.

Yes, it was easy to see where they got the inspiration from Raiden. Great characters from a great movie!
Glad to see Raiden sporting his MK 2 outfit in the new game. That one is definately my favourite outfit. I really like his simple white one from the first game as well.

& this website claims that it won't HD, just a compilation for fans who are eagerly waiting for MK 9. They also stated that since its just a compilation, MK 3 & 4 might be included also.

nice and funny vid threadwood, looks like it's not as difficult as one might think. About the costumes, I think they will have the same but updated costumes, just a little more refined. Curious how Baraka will look, I can imagine he will look more gruewsome.

It never claimed that the HD Kollection wouldn't be in HD.
All it said was:
"Unfortunately, although the name is pretty self-explanatory, we do not know now what the MK Arcade Compilation listed by ShopTo, will consist of."
Also, as I said before:
I'm not taking that as fact.
For all we know, it could be taken down from those sites in a couple of days.
I'll ONLY take an official confirmation from either TRMK, or NetherRealm themselves.

I didn't ask anyone to take it as a fact, I am just stating that it is weird that some stores still displays it since everyone claims that it was removed from the market. And I didn't question TRMK reliability about this, my purpose was to share with the community info I found on the net.
