HD Kollection in 2011?
Since I didn't want to bump an older, outdated thread and there weren't any pertinent ones currently active, I decided to create this new, all-encompasing thread for news and speculation on the Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last year in August, news broke here on TRMK that the HD Kollection was in development and tentatively scheduled for a November 2010 release. That, of course, didn't happen. Since the time of the original story, many things have happened in regards to the game. Several big name retailers began taking preorders (most namely GameStop in the US and GAME in the UK). Not only that, but other major chains had the game listed in their database and a bar code was assigned to it (0883929168118). One thing that didn't happen, though, was an
official announcement from Warner Bros or NeatherRealm Studios. Despite that, Ed Boon and Hans Lo, in an interview at GamesCom, gave a wink-nod acknowledgement while also refusing to deny its existence, saying they didn't want to lie to fans.
In early 2011, the game began showing up again with more current, updated release dates ranging from
early Februrary,
early March and even
early April. Most recently, the game surfaced on a 3D artists' resume (but was quickly removed due to inconsiderate fans bombarding him with questions). Now, with tons of evidence for
and against this game, we must speculate: Will the Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection be released in 2011?

Obviously, this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the HD Kollection, but there are many fans who have wrote to the official account as well as Ed, Rigo, Hans, Hector, etc. asking about the game. I will assume they are simply referring to questions regarding specific characters, but the part about "
until the time is right" intrigues me.
