Mileenas face!!!

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't want Mileena back. She was meh in MK9. But my God, they've really outdone themselves this time. Her costume looks great, i love the new mouth and her variations are great. More than likely my new main. Love her fatality. I know it's similar to the MK 9 one, but the attention to detail is fantastic

bottom row middle picture. thats what im talking about, it just makes no sense at all the the angle of the teeth dont match the angle of the face, the face is almost straight on but the teeth are in a profile position which is whats making it look so flat and not realistic. the teeth look almost as if theyre just painted on or a home made halloween make up, this is what im saying the design idea is great but its badly executed. i cant be the only one that sees this?
then look at the bottom right and it looks awesome coz the angle of the teeth and the angle id the head all match up properly.
 
It's alright, rocky. You don't have to like it. However, you're being wrong about her teeth looking flat like cardboard, which they obviously aren't as you can see in this gif:

But as said, it's alright that you don't like it. Alot of people do though, and if you wish for people to accept your opinion, you should accept that not everyone agrees with you. Hell, it seems like the majority doesn't, at least on this forum.

I hope you can get past it though and eventually move on.
 
I love how it looks like her face is decaying all the way down to the teeth. That top right picture is remarkable.
 
So giving her lips would allow to talk realistically? I dunno, with the way the they are designed, they look like they would flap around with muscles to support them. The same can be said for the previous iterations as well, but those teeth are seem too big for her jaw.

I remember seeing a art piece in her 9 outfit kn deviant art. Them talking about the art from Kollective makes me wonder since I seen it upload on their.

yeah but notice in that win pose gif its a completley different design to whats shown in the into sequences. in the intros her tarkatan mouth starts way higher than her normal mouth so looks really odd and she has two really big top teeth next to the sides of her mouth that curve sideways and look a bit stupid. the tarkatan teeth are also bigger but too big and chunky so it looks cartoony in the intros

but then in that win pose the tarkatan mouth starts off a lot closer to the normal mouth so looks much better and the top teeth next to the side off her mouth start off a lot smaller rather than being big and curved at a wierd angle so it looks more natural and much better. and the teeth are thinner less refined so dont look so big and clumsy like the intro does.

This. I never understood how her or Baraka spoke without lips. Made no sense. I like the new mouth.

What is it with you and mentioning to us that you're rich? This is why people have a problem with you. Being rich is all well and good.. but being super flaunty about it on a forum and then openly admitting how you're unintelligent is really obnoxious.

I think it's just a combination of the camera angle and the way the light hits Mileena's teeth that creates the optical illusion of bigger teeth that you're seeing. The teeth move and shift when she opens her mouth. I added some indicators to the original pic to show what I am talking about.

It does, and it shows that there are no difference in how the teeth are between the intro and win pose. Her lips spread out when munching though, making it look more like the lipless mouth from past games.

Between that and the illusion of the traditional Tarkatan mouth appearing she gets when she gets ready to chow down, wow. Kudos to NRS for that creative reinterpretation. It feels like that's how it was meant to be all along.

Agreed. I can actually see Kitana when I look at her. Never understood how they looked alike before, but it makes sense now. Also, she looks more like the work of a sorcerer now as well. Her face just screams "messed up experiment". It's awesome imo
