Microsoft hand-held?

While Nintendo is still on top of the hand-held market. Sony has proved that its possible to hold your own against them. So does that mean that its only a matter of time until microsoft releases there own hand-held? What do you all think?
 
A handheld by MS has been rumored for at least 4-6 years now. They've blatantly said it's not a market they wish to try to capture and I believe that. The advent of gaming on phones etc.... is more where they are focused (hence the Windows phone with Live features).

The 3DS' failures had more to them than just smartphone competition.


And Microsoft making a handheld console would be like Sega trying to get back into the hardware business (which would be awesome, BTW). Pretty unlikely, to say the least.
 
Wouldn't hurt to try and revive the Hand-Held Market ,But It would have to be Flawless because smartPhones are dominating in mobile gaming :)
 
Right now sony has my support for handhelds, so until microsoft makes one i'm gonna have to stick with the PSP which has more badassery than any Nintendo handheld.

I'm waiting for the Vita, and even if Microsoft finally decides to relase a handheld there's no way in hell I'm getting it.
 
I would probably only get a Microsoft handheld for
MK9 (of course)

Any Rockstar Game (Red Dead Redemption, GTA, L.A. Noire, Bully)
