Let's talk Cosplay.

Gotta admit, them lulz flowed freely when I heard it.

I dunno. I'm just getting back into being excited about cosplay only to find that the scene is super different and much more... inhospitable(?) compared to when I first started going to cons like almost eleven years ago. I have a big list of things I want to do before I pumpkin into a hag, but I might just wind up doing them as photoshoots with a trusted photographer rather than taking them to cons (where, increasingly, I'm going in order to make money taking photos). It bugs me as I've probably only got a few more years left in me cosplaying younger-looking characters.

Riddle's Messy Wardrobe and Yaya made it clear after the episode aired that they didn't mean that overweight people shouldn't cosplay. They were trying to say that if you are overweight and are cosplaying, you should be ready for the hateful comments about being too fat to cosplay.

"Anyone can Cosplay, but if your 300lbs and cosplaying as superman, be prepared for awful comments on the internet (or anytime you put yourself out there), I hate the idea of someone getting discourage from cosplay because of crappy comments online. If you don’t think it’ll affect you, then go for it! "

My comments aren't meant to discourage a new cosplayer, its meant to inform a new cosplayer. There are negative sides to cosplay, sadly one of them is and always will be Internet comments. My statement meant as a warning, not a judgment.

If you see someone bashing Yaya about my comment, please inform them correctly."

I'm going on either Thursday or Friday. Good thing my classes are in the afternoon, so probably leaving with my cousin right after I get out.

Anyway I remember seeing Akihiko's vest from the cosplay site I got the SEES armband off of.

And then after that I'll just need to dye my hair...
