Let's discuss possible SubZero storylines

That's because I wasn't referencing MK9.
I was referencing the MK8 game (which was supposed to be an MK1 reboot) that was in pre-production before Midway scrapped it, which also had the following concept art, which BBBLP posted below you.
The Sub-Zero costume in the supposed MK8 reboot (minus the mask) resembles the MK X Sub-Zero costume very much.
The project was scrapped and we got MKvsDCU instead, but chances are very likely that the MK8 game would have featured Bi-Han, since it was supposed to be a reboot.
NRS would later make MK9 the reboot game, instead, after being bought out by WB.
VVVVV

YES!!!!
Thank you!

I couldn't post this picture in my last post because I was on my phone.

The same ex-NRS artist who did this pic (Vincent Proce) also did Sonya, Kano, Raiden and Scorpion concept art for MK8.
The Scorpion one resembles MK X Scorpion too, IMO.

But what does this have to do with anything?

It was concept art for a game that didnt happen, MK X Sub-Zero still looks nothing like MK9 Bi-Han, just because concept art for MK8 looks a little similar with the sash to MK X's means nothing.

I never said that MK X Bi-Han looks like MK9 Bi-Han, so I don't know where you're pulling any of that from.

My point is that given that the concept art for Bi-Han (in the cancelled MK8 game) looks very similar to the costume for MK X Sub-Zero, it could very well be that it was the inspiration for MK X Sub-Zero, which would be a nod to this possibly being Bi-Han.

Oh.

I thought we were talking about Scorpion recognizing the costume still. My mistake.

She is resurrected right next to a giant statue of herself though

I'm sure Scorpion looks like Hanso Hasachi but there are variations between both.
Maybe it's the same for Sindel. The fact that she looks like the giant statue is not a proof that she don't change.

In other hand, Hanso Hasachi don't have power and becaming Scorpion, he gained fire power.
Bi-Han have ice powers and becaming Noob Saibot, he lose his ice abilities and gained shadow control.
We don't know if Sindel had her powers before she died. That's what I said.

I just wanted to show the error of Cryo's argument.

Besides, the resurrection of Sindel was a bit different that the resurrection of Scorpion or Noob. Quan Chi had the souls of the two ninjas... the soul of Sindel was in the hands of Shao Kahn.

BBBLP I think that katalina thinks you're saying that quan chi gave them a completely different physical body

You could have a point if he hadn't already resurrected all of the heroes somehow. They still have their powers as well. So, all he has to do is say meh, I don't like this look. Then he makes Kuai human again. Who knows? Maybe he even does it to piss off Scorpion for some reason. The souls are in his control now though (Something makes me wonder if they are or if it's just some manipulation by Quan again). I mean he said he had their souls, but how does Shao Kahn even promise that? Why did they look like rotting corpses instead of how Liu Kang's soul looked in deception? He just looked normal. I've argued this before, but I wonder if he doesn't just have control of their bodies and their souls are still out there somewhere??? Who knows? Mk9's writing was confusing as shit.

Anyway, Not really a fan of Vincent Prose's view of MK. He did MK9 redesigns and Kuai looked like he was wearing a damn 30 lb quilt. How do you fight in that? I did not like it. I think he gave Jade green hair too. Yeah not good looks at all.

As far as MKX's look being based on Vincent's Bi-Han redesign. I don't think so. His design had a cloth mask, sleeves, a hood more similar to Scorpion's. The only similarity I really see is the quilted look to the ninja v. The belts aren't the same either. Plus Vincent's is barely blue. It looks like a really dark shade of bluegreen.

I would say Sub-Zero's look is inspired by Mk:rebirth. The mask anyway. I think the whole feel/tone is going to be inspired by legacy. Here's hoping not the writing as well.

You make it sound like the dead characters are Quan Chi's barbie dolls or something, to dress up an change however he likes. I find it funny how you dismiss alot of the Bi Han theories outright while support absurd stuff like this when it comes to Kuai Liang.

Quan Chi never resurrected the heroes... Raiden fought their souls, nothing more.

Yeah I see what Caine is talking about now. We don't know if she had that scream and weird hair shit when she was alive.

They look exactly the same. There are a few minor changes, but the quilted gi and the headband were what stood out the most with Vincent's portrayal in the first place. Plus the idea that he has regular weapons with him. Vincent's Sub had a small sword, MKX Sub-Zero has daggers or kunai.

His mask does look a little cybernetic, but nothing on the scale of Rebirth's which was fused to his face.

Yeah except I was meaning that in a joking manner??? Yeah I think he's going to walk in there and just play pretty dress up with them.lol. Idk how nor why he would bring Kuai back, but this argument has pretty much ended and I'm not taking it seriously anymore.

I made my point with saying the soulnado theory blows. That's all I really set out to do. I even said that it could be a COMPLETELY NEW Sub-Zero. Please don't pick fights with me Jinko. We disagree on so many things.

Aside from the few small changes that BBBLP mentioned, yeah, it's the same.
Btw, that's why it's also called "concept art."
It's a concept that they go from and create the in-game model from, and it definitely looks like NRS got LOTS of inspiration for MK X Sub-Zero from Vincent's version.

Yet people take you're story seriously when you write it so Shujinko can stand toe-to-toe with Shinnok. Please dude. If you can't take my arguments seriously that's fine because I'm one person arguing with like 10 who all agree a good percentage of the time.

You think characters have to have main plot relevance to be interesting. How can I take you seriously at all?

He would be the most logical choice going canonically, given his ability, but this isn't the thread to discuss that.

You never responded to that post of mine with any rebuttals? That is not even what I said.

No canonically Raiden and or Fujin make the most sense. Up until a few weeks ago everyone thought Shinnok would be the big bad. Raiden and Fujin are both gods who should be able to stand toe to toe with ya know? A fallen god. Yet, somehow you found it good to have Shujinko do that. Hmm...

I clearly did respond. I said it's a sub-plot. His story does not have to tie in with the main arc to have relevance. At one point or another he's affected Scorpion, Noob, Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor, Kenshi, Hotaru, and Frost. It was stated in MK9 he was one of Raiden's most trusted warriors. Also, Sonya even seems to have a good friendship with him because in DA it is stated she visited the lin kuei temple to talk with Sub-Zero. In this time it's revealed she does not like nor trust Frost. She turns out to be right.

Anyway, point is just because he didn't help.bring down Onaga or the DA does not mean he isn't interesting. Half of his shit is waaay more interesting than some of the subplots in th Mk universe. Just because you think he has to be in the main plot to be interesting or relevant doesn't mean he's not.
