Let's discuss possible SubZero storylines

Given that NRS hit the reset button in MK9, with a new timeline, how do we know that Mythologies still happened, though?

"He once defended Earthrealm from the Netherrealm armies of Shinnok and Quan Chi" =/= automatically mean Mythologies.

How do you know that Quan Chi and Shinnok didn't try to invade Earthrealm once but Sub-Zero stopped them, and now that both Sub-Zero's are dead they don't think that anyone can stop them?

As I said it didn't matter if they said it or not. To be technical mk9 is not a reset its still a continuations as boon and co have stated before

Quan chi's amulet is also reasonable proof there is no evidence that they erased mythologies

In my book if it hasn't been written off or if there is no evidence then it's still cannon

Araknyd is the most stubborn person here lol.

If they didn't bother mentioning it, then they didn't bother changing it.

I don't think it's stubbornness Bro, I think he just assumes we're in an Alternate Universe as opposed to just a different timeline. Thing is, NRS never specified what it is, and that if events prior to Raiden's visions were changed as well. Since there is no clarification, no one is right IMO and these are all theories that NRS will probably never address.

This, thank you.

Everyone debates various topics as well, yet I'm the most stubborn person here?
GTFOH.

You're the most stubborn because you just say no and repeat yourself over and over.
Never rebutting, just rewinding.

I always rebut with reasons as to why I'm either for or against something, as I've done various times in different threads.

This, thank you.

I'm afraid I agree. You're king of the stubbornness around here. I agree with you on most things though. I don't mean to disrespect you. I still love you... in a gay way, of course. :flowers:

Debating different topics with valid reasoning and explanations in my posts =/= stubborn.

Sub-Zero should be londonhellgate's chiropractor.

Sheeva would make a great masseuse.

There's many accausions where someone will state their opinion/and or reasons etc and your response is:

"No.
Reasons I don't like your opinion etc"

It doesn't really matter.

Yeah sorry bro, but it's really up you to prove that the current timeline is different to the original timeline prior to Raiden's visions, rather than to say that it's possible and leaving us to prove the opposite.
While we're at an impasse in this particular case, the general rule when debating is: You make a claim, you back it up. it's really that simple.

Is this to me? I can't tell for sure without the quotes.

I have backed up the claim and with various examples, but I'm not going to repeat pages worth of shit that I've already stated, because apparently I'm stubborn.

Anyone wants to debate any of the things I've posted, then they can, but I'm not repeating jack shit.

You made your point, you can't be proven wrong, but the same applies to those that think otherwise. It's an inpass.

Tell you what, Boon made a cryptic reference to what seems to be Sareena, if she turns out to be in MKX and if she gets to interact with Bi Han, Kuai Liang or whoever this Sub Zero might be, then maybe we'll have confirmation about whether Mythologies is canon or not.

Mythologies is canon. MK4 and Scorpion's MK9 Chapter confirmed it as canon.

Nothing actually proves that Bi-Han killed Scorpion and repelled Quan Chi and Shinnok's army in the exact same way described in Mythologies, and that's pretty much Araknyd's point.
I agree that it's the likeliest eventuality, I don't think they would recton the prelude of MKI for no apparent reason and without giving a definite answer whether they did do so or not.

But that's just opinion and anyway, didn't this whole talk about it start because somebody said that since Bi Han almost allowed Shinnok to escape in Mythologies, then the Elder Gods wouldn't resuscitate him or something.
Well if that's the case maybe Raiden could convince them to do it, I mean he's the one that tells Bi Han to correct his mistake in mythologies, and knows his worth as a warrior calling him "superb" at one point.
Of course they would have to be wary of Bi Han's not so pure nature, they wouldn't really trust the guy, but they need all the help they can get.
That might be a plot point, Bi Han, the new Sub Zero, having to earn the Earthrealm warriors' trust, and setting up an eventual redemption for the character.
