What the hell? Man, the Mortal Kombat fan base as gotten hella weird lol. People are seriously complaining about digital characters not being sexy.
 
I dont think it really needs sexuality. Not every game needs sexuality, but very very few games handle it the right way. MK9 was a little embarrassing when someone picked sonya, ill equipt for any fight, but perfect for a sexy halloween night, i guess.

I think MK has to be especially careful, he gore, torture and mutilation sets it apart from dead or alive. Its a different kind of weird.

But hey, if it did, why not go both ways, put Jax in a banana hammock, add testicle physics, so we can see Liu Kangs Junk flail around whenever he does a kick. Add some ingros to highlight how truly seductive Scorpion is. Make sure we can see Kenshi's massive bulge.

Hey sexuality is goes many ways. So if we're going to further undermine MKs credibility as an expansive fantasy sci-fi universe by flopping out Kitana's tits any more than they already are, why not show off Takedas tight little ass?

Sonya, Cassie and Jacqui all look like they are. Mileena and Kitana are strapped in pretty tight with their leather corsets or whatever.

D'Vorah shouldn't even HAVE boobs, because she's a freakin bug, so everybody can just count their blessings there.

And even so, D'Vorah her boobs aren't soft and jiggly, as her outer shell is a carapace, not skin.
 
I can't believe people are arguing over how much bounce there is to one's tits in MKX. Fact is this - People were disgusted by how the females were portrayed in MK9 (as well as the men). NRS saw that it mattered to people and gave us more realistic looking female bodies. If you ask me, I don't think the women have ever looked any better. And the fact that I like men does not negate me from having an opinion. You don't have to be straight to see that there was something VERY wrong with how NRS modeled their characters.

As for bouncy tits... It's not needed. Most of these women are either wearing sports bras or their breasts are being held firmly in place by their armor/clothing. As someone who comes from a family of big breasted women, I can assure you... Not one of those ladies would walk into a fight without their girls strapped down in some way.

And as hot as a bouncy dick would be, that sh** ain't realistic either. If you're jumping around and your misters aren't properly supported, it's not going to feel that great. *shrug*
 
I think Mortal Kombat died when Jade died because she was an example of how a perfectly sexy but intelligent woman would be in MK while wearing revealing clothes and have bouncy boobs. Or am I just upset that my MKX is not loading and that it's freezing in the first part while the game loads and that the MKX required me to button mash to complete moves?
 
I wouldn't say MK9's over sexualisation bothered me in general. It bothered me with Sonya because it looked ridiculous. Are you telling me high heels and that top are Special Forces standard issue? So very stupid. I just play MK for MK. If an outfit is sexy, fine. If its not, fine. Just as long as it makes some sense. Its a shame that something like this is even an issue. Distracts from the fun and meaningful issues such as character balance, combo's etc.

Look. What NRS has said before about "realism" is complete and utter bullshit. You don't have to be a genius to get it. They couldn't care less about realism. Boon was once quoted to say "we're going to make the game look more PHOTOREALISTIC" which is not what you think it is. Realism was used an excuse to tone down the boobage and ass. For females, that is. Not to mention how AWFUL the proportions are, and how out-of-the-place they look. When Sonya was blocking Scorpion's & Sub-Zero's hits left and right, when someone as skinny as Jacqui blocked something that would be considered a TRUCK (Torr...)...THAT'S realistic, right?

Males are still looking either buff or jacked, while some are wearing costumes that would lead you to believe they're strippers. That's fine with me, as NRS has NEVER said that they're going to make males look "realistic". Don't even try to say they're looking that way for "male power fantasy" or "it's a fighting game!!! they need to be jacked!!!". Otherwise Bruce Lee is going to do a backflip in his grave, and actual Shaolin Monks are going to get the wrong idea about what strength is. Ever seen those Luke Skywalker action figures? At one point the actor himself said something along the lines of "They put me on steroids!!!".

Regarding the video. She is right, and makes some very good points.

If MK9 gets brought up again, as if it was "bad"...I have no clue what NRS was thinking in both games. Wouldn't it be more logical to simply balance it out? That will also introduce at least SOME variety to the females, and please everyone. Right now they look just about the same.

Mileena's and Kitana's outfits are a lot tighter and a lot more modest in MKX. I can understand Mileena's. However, when did the netherrealm get an edenian princess clothing store?

They were praised for them? Maybe I'm just remembering incorrectly, but one of the common complaints I saw across all of the MK sites were the poor character designs and over-sexualization of the female characters, especially when the reward for completing the challenge tower was naked Mileena... I think the only people that were happy with getting that skin were 13 year old boys. And MK9 cosplay was not a "phenomenon." That's a total over-exaggeration. The reason why it maybe seemed like there were more was simply because of the rise in cosplay popularity, in general.

Regardless of their reasoning for changing the look of the characters, both male and female, I think it's a positive change and I hope they continue with this style. The men, although I think still are a bit too big (especially the ninjas).

Are we not forgetting that they even changed the MK dragon logo to reflect the new change in direction?

Gaming people have weird tastes in women physique.
Since when is broad shoulders, narrow hips, extremely huge boobs and 6 feet and over in height, girls sexy.
Never have I found MK9 female charachters sexy, to me they looked like males in drag.
MKX females are by miles better than they were in MK9 and are more sexy. And still their breast are still big in real world standarts, just not over the top huge.

10/10 for mkx females

Well as the continued to build for mkx I can recall being on of the guys who said "I wanted breast physics in the game" which as you can all see now..there are ZERO breast physics and most of the male characters are body builders..you all cried for realism so they scaled the sexiness down to ZERO because you well ...certain types of men said

"If I wanted to see big tits and slutty women I'd go to a bar.Keep that out of my video games"

So again..by that logic you take your video game females mores seriously than real life ones.

Even if I do there are worse things to fap off to than animated women.I stand by what this lady says because she said the exact same things that I was saying.
