Kotal Kahn: To Be or Not to Be

So, questions for everyone to ponder...

1. Will Kotal's father be killed and end up being the "unimaginable loss?"
2. Will any of his allies betray him and if so, who?
3. Is it likely Kotal Kahn will kill Reiko?

Goro betrays Kahn (he is mentioned to be pursuing Mileena, she convinced him to betray Kotal), kills the Emperor's father, Reiko get possession of the Wrath Hammer and now we will have a true dispute of the throne of Outworld.

I don't think Goro will betray Kotal. I don't see them being allies after what happened with the slaughter of his people. I think, if anyone, it'll be D'Vorah that betrays him. I do agree that Kotal K'Etz will be the one that dies. I'm just not sure if it will be Goro, Mileena, or Reiko that does the deed.

Speaking of those three, I can definitely get behind Reiko secretly poisoning Goro to get him out of the picture. It would be one less step for him to take towards getting the throne of Outworld.

Shao Kahn also slaughtered his people, yet Kotal served him alongside Reiko.

I have the impression Goro will betray Kotal because the Emperor mentioned the shokan was pursuing Mileena, and his father would try to find Goro. He didn't mention to kill the Prince. Goro is probably betraying Kotal Kahn.

Point well taken, good sir! Is the Goro/Kotal fight supposed to be the focus of tomorrow's comic release?

I think it's inevitable that Outworld will always be in a state of chaos. It's all they've known, and despite Kotal Kahn's best efforts, the cycle will repeat. Hence, the rise and fall of Kotal Kahn.

It makes you wonder if it is because the realm has just been led by the wrong leaders or if some other force is at hand. It seems like they will never have peace but you never know, it could change at the drop of a dime. What the hell is going on with Kintaro's uprising? When is that supposed to happen? I'm eager to see Kotal mutilate another one of those four armed Shokan freaks! :gr_devil:

What is Kahnum?

A Kahnum is obviously some sort of an imperial Kahncil.

Before Shao Kahn was Shao Kahn, was he just called Shao?

Wild guess: his name was Something Shao. Kotal Ketz passed along the Kotal part of his name to his son, suggesting that that might be their surname. Hence Kotal Kahn is like Kotal President, aka President Kotal. So if all of this guessing based on almost no information is correct, then Shao Kahn is missing a first name, not a last name.

It's the palace of the Kahn. Probably in the native Outworld language.

I thought it was like the Osh-Tekk called, but Mileena also mentioned.

It can also be the Osh-Tekk name of this new palace, since Kotal Kahn's throne is not located where Shao Kahn was, for ambient and architectural reasons.

I think it's the palce of Kotal Kahn that it's named that way, that's why Mileena mentioned.

Just found out that Khanum (Kahnum) is the female title for Khan (Kahn).

Everyone knows that Kahn in the MK universe is the exact same title as Khan the real universe
