Every time someone pines for any of the post-UMK3 fighters I cut myself in the hopes that Stryker AND Sheeva will be on the select screen instead. So, you have no objection to Stryker being in the series, right?
Bahahahaha. THAT WOULD BE EPIC.A robot Sheeva could possibly make me like the character. But no promises.
interesting, but i notice altot of you on this forum think that one or the other will happen. like what if smoke and sub zero both get caught? (it would suck ass that way), or what if they both get away? what if someone completly different gets turned into a cyborg? like not a ninja. (AND NOT JAX!) i cant just count on one or the other to happen, im shure someone would like a change in that whole cyborg thing. like were all expecting.
I don't understand why there is so much hate for Sheeva? I think she's brutal in Trilogy and Armageddon. I'm just hoping that all characters are from the first three games, please no one post-trilogy. With Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage, Sektor, Nightwolf, Kung Lao, Reptile, Raiden, and Mileena being confirmed, this game already seems promising. I don't want to see Bo'Rai'Cho or Shujinko EVER AGAIN, please anyone but them. haha
I agree Bo'Rai'Cho, Shujinko, Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Mavado, Meat, Mokop i can live without ever seeing in the game again!
Most of them, from a fighting standpoint, either sucked or were simply clones of UMK3 characters. Tanya was essentially a clone of Mileena, Reiko was Ermac, Shinnok was Shang Stung, etc. The transition to 3D ruined the gameplay in so many ways, so since the post-UMK3 characters were associated with this transition, I have even more disdain for them.what is everyones problem with post trilogy characters?

So I guess everyone can agree that having Kenshi as a possible playable character is not a bad thing? He is in one of the backgrounds (Pit II).
No Kenshi. Give me ERMAC! Their moves are to similar to have both and not knocking Kenshi but if I was choosing I would go Ermac every time.
Reiko is a re-skinned Noob (teleport throw), so he can get lost, too.
what is everyones problem with post trilogy characters?
Actually, I was mixing Reiko and Kenshi up, too. Kenshi is simply a re-skinned Ermac (telekinetic slam, fireball), so no, I don't want him in the game. Reiko is a re-skinned Noob (teleport throw), so he can get lost, too.
And I wouldn't take background cameos as evidence of the characters being in the game.
That's another one who could be written off into oblivion. He's little more than a Kabal rip-off from a rival clan, and I don't think being a Grease reject is any better than a cleaning guy with a respirator.I'll take Mavado over Kabal any day. Kabal is a guy in a Janitor's uniform, and a second-rate Predator mask.
Because some random general-turned-traitor is so much more significant than 1/2 of the most notorious duo of the series. Reiko has no history and no significance within the first 3 games, so he has no reason to make an appearance. Noob has been a part of the series since MKII, so he has plenty of reason to be there.Sharing one move with another character doesn't mean he's a re-skinned knock-off. As a fighter/character, Reiko kicks the living crap out of Noob, who never served any real significant purpose.
Troll harder, ass.In short, it's because they weren't in 2D, and weren't portrayed by actors. Had they been a bunch of pallet swipes in 2D, everyone would hail them as the best characters ever. But, because they are in 3D, they are terrible and should be completely forgotten :bs:
Along with them, Dairou, Hotaru, Darrius, and Kobra can go away too and never come back.
Originally, Noob Saibot was to be in Reiko's place on the character selection grid for Mortal Kombat 4. It was decided that the game had too many ninjas already, which was a subject of complaint from Mortal Kombat Trilogy, the game most immediately prior to Mortal Kombat 4. Also, Noob Saibot was described as being too hard to see in some stages as he blended into the background very easily, so he was renamed and made into Reiko. The outfit for Reiko was not changed from the outfit created for the Noob Saibot character model; only the character's head and spiked gauntlets were added. Home versions of Mortal Kombat 4 included Noob Saibot as a secret character, and it can clearly be seen that the character model is virtually identical to Reiko.Sharing one move with another character doesn't mean he's a re-skinned knock-off. As a fighter/character, Reiko kicks the living crap out of Noob, who never served any real significant purpose.
