No, you actually don't get credit for the win that's the real issue. We will see how the jail system plays out and if it works well enough.

Well imagine banging a chick and a minute before you are about to explode, she just vanishes. No happy ending for you. Feels bad man.

I hate getting a "win" from people quitting. In FPS games, I love it. Not in fighting games.
 
No season 2 for Killer Instinct?

Amazon has acquired a gaming studio called Double Helix Games, TechCrunch has learned, and Amazon now confirms. The deal was for both talent and IP, we understand. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

The Irvine, California-based company, founded in 2007 through the merger of two well-known game development shops, The Collective, Inc. and Shiny Entertainment, today employs 75 people who will now become Amazon employees and will continue to operate out of their Orange County home.

News of the deal leaked due to an invitation to joint recruiting event from Amazon and Double Helix Games taking place in L.A. on February 13th. The acquisition announcement was planned to take place at that time, most likely.

Amazon has provided TechCrunch with the following statement regarding the deal:

“Amazon has acquired Double Helix as part of our ongoing commitment to build innovate games for customers.”
 
I don't remember season 2 even been confirmed, they were only stipulations and fan wish lists, they said that they were likely to make a season 2 if the first one sold well, that's the same stuff every developer say when people are concerned about the lack of contents. I hope that I did not pay $500 for a 8 character fighting game.
 
I wonder what a season 2 would include.
6 more characters & Arenas or just 2 more?
Are only Spinal & Fulgore considered season 1 or is it the OG 6 too?



Hoping it's another 6, though I wonder what they'd charge for a season 2 pass. I wouldn't pay more than 20 since season 1 was 40 and so bare. eventhoughididntpayforanythingatall what?


Hoping to see Riptor more than anyone. He would probably look insane with the new graphics

Update: In a statement, a Microsoft spokesperson told Polygon that it will be working with a "new development partner" on Killer Instinct for Xbox One.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Double Helix and wish them success in their next endeavor. We want all of our loyal fans to know that the Killer Instinct team at Microsoft is not changing and that the franchise will remain with Microsoft Studios. We remain dedicated to delivering a great experience and plan to announce our new development partner soon. We're excited about the future of this popular franchise."

Despite all the skeptics, DH actually did a heck of a job.

Season 2 is coming, but apparently DH hadn't started on it yet going off past experience with having gone thorough a buyout odds are they let MS know about this months ago. I wouldn't be surprised if the new dev hasnt already started working on season 2 to slide right in after DH finishes up Fulgore, story mode and gets lobbies in place.

Fulgore and sotry mode will wrap up season 1. I would think season 2 would consist of 6 more characters and stages along with w/e other features they add and 20$ seems to be the price I would expect. You didn't actually spend 40$ on KI, you spent 20$ KI and 6/7$ on accessories and the remainder was for OG KI and yes, eventhoughididntpayforanythingatall.

Season 2 was only set to have 4 characters total according to the testers..

I'm guessing:

Riptor
Tj combo
Shadow jago with his own move set
And maybe one other new design or cinder
 
theres three OG characters left. they gave us sadira, a new characters we've never seen before. I'm sure they can fill out the last 5 spots with new characters or KI2 characters.
i hope they add eyedol as a boss character. i wonder if adding stages is possible.
