Kano needs to have an important role in MKX.
I understand that MK9 was essentially a love letter to the arcade era, but Kano felt as useful as a wet paper bag in MK9.
As much as I don't want to see either Sonya or Johnny getting killed in MK9, I agree with [MENTION=4889]BBBLP[/MENTION] that Kano killing 1 of them would be the perfect fit.

Here's a short little story that I thought of:
Maybe Kano kills either Sonya or Johnny, and Cassie hunts him down afterwards, "seemingly" killing him by tearing his heart out (ironically).
Kano is then saved afterwards by 1 of the other villains (either Quan Chi, Shinnok or Kotal Kahn) and retrofitted with the Cybernetic orb, and Cassie's quest was all for nothing.
The killer of 1 of her parents still lives.....

I feel like Kano is going to kill Sonya, since you rarely get to see an old female character in fighting games, I can see Johnny Cage surviving and aging.

MK vs DC i think was the 1st game they gave him a tattoo and the MK9 they gave him 2.
If you look closely he looks like he could have 1 on his right arm in the Flying Knee picture...
or i could be wrong & it can be a shadow.

But i hope he is still under development and he eventually gets both tattoos
 
I personally hope they don't add anything else to him. This simplistic design is great and gives me hope for the remaining character designs.

Well, I hope they give him nipples at least. Everything else is fine, though. Kano is one of those characters where less it more, I think.

ehh, i think it could still be simplistic with tattoos.
i didn't realize it at first, but i think he looks weird without them
 
If Johnny and Sonya are indeed in this game, there are a few things I'd like to see with them:

1.) Make Sonya and Johnny be old but makes sense. I can totally see Sonya pull off a Big Mama look:

I can really see this happening, and she could wear something similar towards her secondary outfit in Deadly Alliance. With Johnny, I don't have anything for him, but I do have a little humor to add for him.

Since Johnny is a wise-ass always pulling jokes and such, have him pose (whether it be a victory pose or something he does after a fatality) where he cracks his back by doing some random move and make him crack a joke about it. I can definitely see his humor be used to mock his old age. The designers would be kinda silly not to have that be thrown in for him.

2.) They MUST have at least a place in story mode in the first few chapters explaining what happened to them over the events that lead to Cassie's birth and things after that. If they are meant to die, I want to see it. I don't want to be told that they died, I want to see it. I don't care who kills them off if they are to be killed, I just want to see it.

That said, I don't want that to be the main reason why Cassie is in this story. She should have something else going on with her, whether it be rivaling with some other character that isn't Kano or whatever, I don't want her to be in this game for the sole purpose of the death of her parents, whether both be killed or just one.


This is what I hope I see with these characters. If we're going to have another family in this game, better have it where they act like it. This would be interesting, since I'm already fascinated about how there's talk of aging characters. It's about time we've seen them age, rather than playing an ageless game. (I mean, aren't the only characters that we've seen age were Shang Tsung and Sub-Zero/Kuai Liang? I'm sure there's more, but these are the two characters I know who have aged over the years, even if it is by magical means)
 
I'm happy to see Kano return. I agree with my ol' buddy ol' pal BBBLP, Kano should kill off Sonya or Johnny(preferably Sonya), to really make an impact this time. He has lost pretty much all of his steam, and needs to be taken as a more serious threat. It seems this is a drawback of a lot of MK's villains. Other than Kahn, they all look like a bunch of flunkies(hello Kano and Reptile!).
 
Why Sonya???have Kano kill Jax's black ass and we can replace him with Kai.Its the walking dead rule.kill off a black character before you add another one lol.
 
Well, if Kano needs something important to do, why not kill Cassie's parents? Maybe Johnny, or Sonya, or maybe both (and we resolve that issue of repeating halfs of already konfirmed Cassie on two slots).

Man, this story is getting more interesting everytime.

Oh, and if Kano does nothing important, please, someone kill him this time. But kill well killed.

Agreed. And besides, Cassie basically is Sonya in my opinion. So killing Johnny and have two Sonya's would be twice as boring.

That's a neat idea but isn't that orb essentially the same thing you see in his MK3/MK9 costume?

Jax is already dead. I doubt they'd revive him just to kill him again. That would be unbelievably lame.
 
Sonya probably isn't an agent anymore. She's probably a full blown commander by now.
If she is in (which I hope she isn't, at least not playable) then I'm guessing she'll be rocking something like her Deadly Alliance alt.
