Jax is cheesy with metal arms. This is only a minor complaint however. If he doesn't have metal arms, awesome! If he has metal arms, meh.
If they ever bring back the uzi and/or his Deadly Alliance alternate costume though, you can expect some rage.

I always thought that was a direct bite from TJ Combo in Killer Instinct II, the fight stance was almost the same. And yes, very stereotypical outfit.

I love fighting as Jax in MK9! His moves are awesome, especially the enhanced versions! He's also a candidate for funniest line in the MK9 story mode:
Jax to Baraka: "Damn you ugly" lmao! I laughed so hard when he said that.
